Yes, the map has a fps problem and everyone knows it. Of course, I did some research and it turns out that the textures of the game itself and other official maps are mainly responsible for clogging the vram. Official maps may not have this kind of problem for one simple reason. They dont have as much detail and are soulless. Thats why changing the textures to “low” quality helps the map's performance a lot, and you wont see much difference in quality. If you have any ideas on how to fix vram memory clogging then, feel free to fix it.
This slightly increases FPS. --- Post updated --- There were no performance issues in version 3.0. Maybe there were more optimized textures. --- Post updated --- Changing the quality to "lowest" had almost no effect on fps. Perhaps the textures in version 3.0 were more optimized and at the same time looked quite good. Perhaps returning to them will solve the performance problem. I understand that my PC has 16 GB of RAM and 8 GB of video memory, but in 3.0 it produced almost 60 fps, and the map worked on vulcan. Moreover, people with 32 GB of RAM and more powerful graphics cards also have a performance problem.
I love how the map looks, great rework. but this map LAGS! I need to play mainly in Vulkan mode because otherwise the game lags because of the mirrors. But i vulkan it's literally unplayable. When i try it in DX, it's better but still lags like shit, i cannot enjoy it really. and i put texture quality on low. RTX3070Ti, i7 117000KF. all other maps are smooth, and i could spawn more than 12 cars without any performance issues. but this map destroys my pc. please make it playable man.
Its a high quality map, much more detailed than any vanilla maps, you cant really expect it to run on par with them. Ive got R5 5600G, 32gb ram, RTX 3070TI, and i managed to run it at a stable 50-60 fps with some simplified traffic active.
To my surprise, the map started in vulcan mode, but only on low graphics settings, and now my fps is significantly higher!
Map on textures “low” does not consume more vram than 7gb, ram is not used more than 10gb. The processor is not even able to hit 50% usage. On the old computer that I plugged in yesterday to see if there was actually a problem, there is no problem. On GTX 1660, i5-9400f, 32gb ram im geting out 50-60 fps at 1440p resolution comfortably (normal graphics). I recommend sometimes to check if it is really the map that is the problem, and not your processor that can limit the performance of the map (only intel have a problem with this (even i9-13900k, because I got such a report on discord). From what people on our discord have been sending me, they have a problem with ,,WaitNextFrame”. This is a function that synchronizes with the next rendering frame, meaning it waits for the game engine to move on to the next frame. Interestingly, only intel processors have a problem with this (not all), AMD mostly has no problem (or I have not received such a report). When Car_Killer returns, Ill talk to him about this problem. (there is also the option that I could be wrong, these are just my suspicions, and not necessarily correct) --- Post updated --- as if I didnt look, I said it all the time, and its even written in the hardware requirements -_-.
what CPU do you have? --- Post updated --- After my tests, it appears that I was right and some intel processors do not cope with ,,NextWaitFrame” on dx11 because on vulkan this problem does not occur.. here is a comparison of i9-13900k vs amd 7800x3d (same graphics settings, same route (The pink color is NextWaitFrame)). Intel i9: Amd ryzen:
AMD Ryzen 5 3600 --- Post updated --- Thanks to vulcan, I have no problems now. The only thing is, it only works on low settings.
it gives me this error Fatal Lua Error string "levels/polish_roads_v2/mainLe vel.lua":129: attempt to index local 'group' (a nil value) =============== Stack Traceback >> START >> (1) Lua upvalue 'setAllLightsEnabled' at line 129 of chunk 'levels/polish_roads_v2/mainLe vel.lua' group = nil value = boolean: true (temporary) = number: 0
NEVER MIND! I take back everything I said. It looks like vulkan was the problem all along! Tbh I didn't even try DX11 at first, because I'm so used to the massive performance increase that vulkan usually gives me. However this map, and this map alone really doesn't like Vulkan for some reason, because with it I couldn't even reach 30 fps, but now that I tried DX11 I get over 70! So yeah if anyone else is having problems, try DX11 first.
There are much more mods that have a problem with the vulkan mode. And not only with low fps, but also with crashes of the game.
