Update Speculation thread

It would've actually been on brand for Pontiac to sell a Ute, because GM decided to make Pontiac sell all of their quirky cars in the 2000s. It would've definitely fit in with their lineup at the time of closure.

 

I am actually wondering if BeamNG could do a vehicle based off a Pontiac vehicle (like the Pontiac Solstice or the Pontiac Vibe)

 

We would need a 2 door version to fit IRL GT3 regulations/typical practice (not necessarily a Challenger type car, as nice as that would be, just a 2 door Bastion). The most similar GT3 cars are the 6-Series and the Continental.

That being said, we certainly could see something more extreme than the hotlap special we have now. Maybe something like this build or a NOMI hill climb car (which would be a pig compared to the ones we have, but that is part of the fun)

 

100% There’s 3 cars really suited for GT3 and that’s the scintilla, K series, and SBR4 and we have a mod for one (and it’s pretty good). Really hoping the devs can lean into the hardcore race variants. And a two door American sports car would be a good addition and candidate for a racer. And it would make 4 distinct choices for races (us, Japan, German, Italian)

 

I disagree and would say alot more of us would prefer the BTCC group instead.

 

Honestly the JTCC Pessima is one of my favorite race configs in game, I'd love some more 1980/1990's touring cars

Not the thread for it but they were intentionally a sales flop in the USA, GM was threatened by the idea of an Asia-pacific model selling well in the USA... despite it still being a GM product. Had Holden not been treated like the proverbial red headed step child by GM, it may still be here.

 

Yeah this definitely isn't the spot for this but this thread gets really off topic when there's nothing to speculate about. I really hate GM because they love to cancel a brand when they have a bad financial year, in fact it's a miracle for many that they didn't get rid of even more manufacturers from their lineup.

 

If we got an AUDM version, we could get a V8 Supercar...

Yes, usually, we get a new car in summer - although more often, we tend to get a new vehicle (or vehicles, in the case of 0.27) after a remaster. Since 0.15, the updates have gone:

So, therefore, I think it's quite likely we'll be getting a new car in 0.36. What type of new car, though...I'm not sure. Considering the last new car was a pre-1980 vehicle, and the last time a pre-1980 passenger car (the Piccolina) was released, another pre-1980 passenger car was released two updates afterwards (the Bluebuck), we might get another classic car in 0.36.

Thank you for all those detailed informations ! But i feel like the next new car should be a new , modern one .

Some modern D or H Series would be awesome and very welcome ( like a mix of newer Dodge Rams and Ford F150s for the D Series with all sort of configs based on real ones such as the fleet models with single cabs and short bed to some TRX / Raptor equivalent )

As for the H Series, a mix between a 2015+ Ford Transit / Mercedes Sprinter for the H Series , including some passenger , short and long wheelbases options , low and high roof , etc ...

Some euro luxury sedan could be neat too . We also need a modern SUV too !

I feel like we have 3 modern vehicles in the game ( Scintilla , Aurata and the Cherrier FCV ) so new cars are more than welcome in my opinion !
