ive noticed that for whatever reason removing the catalytic converter LOWERS hp. might be realistic idk
for demo this is better than most of real car mods only thing i found is rear suspension taking some sort of damage on medium bumps on the wagon (edit) happens under normal driving conditions and for some reason on the sedan when the rear axle is swiwled the bumper gets damaged (acording to damage app) (another edit there is random damage basicly everywhere from just driving on both)
So I've fixed the front suspension as of now by simply moving the bottom shock mounts a bit, and adjusting the spring rates. The front suspension moves around freely now and the car handles a lot better. Took a bit of experimenting but it's a really simple fix lmfao
So far fixed: 307 base coupe wrong engine Inconsistent spring heights which caused squatting Police radio sticking out Base model V6 sound (replaced with vanilla one, and the custom one is used with performance long blocks equipped) Exhaust being too restrictive without catalytic converter which was inverting the effect of the converter on the horsepower Some beams being so weak they deformed on regular driving Since most people seem to want the Caprice and Impala to be refreshed next, I will start the work on the Impala wagon now. Cool thing about these cars sharing a lot of parts, is that this much is already done:
I feel like all the openables are too weak, especially the wagon tailgate. The ABS and traction control don't work. The front brake calipers are missing and the rotors on the offroad brakes are in the wrong place. The headlights weren't working for me the other day. Also, I feel it would be better if all the cars in this mod were one vehicle in the vehicle selector.
I'll put it here when I'm on pc, along with a couple of the engines since I tweaked the sounds to be more realistic (particularly the V6s and the 350 diesel) They still use the custom sounds since I like how they sound, just much quieter
They struggle to open fully or latch properly, especially when the car is moving or on an incline. Also, swinging the tailgate sometimes breaks off the left taillight.
arent you playing with simplified physics? i am very very tinkery about openables and i tried them in every scenario they didnt break once
