Speedometer on the race dashboard is a bit broken. Speed is tens of MPH off. EDIT: Same issue appears on the stock dashboard as well. This issue didn't seem to appear on 1.0 - something must have broke.
Great refresh of a great mod, however, a lot of the engines have no or barely any sound when idling, especially a lot of V8s, which is kinda sad for me because one of my favorite things about old american V8s is the gurgling idle sounds, also some engines have a weird pitch at some rpms which they shouldn't really have. But all in all it's an amazing refresh
You, are a legendary man, thank you so much for restoring this mod, i love going 40 over a hill and having my car disintegrate
The BeamBox tends to cause the sedan / coupe roof bars to vibrate furiously when equipped, something to look into --- Post updated --- this is currently being worked on, I've softened the front springs as much as I can right now and the edited file is in one of my previous posts
if it is at all possible, can we get some sort of part that enables the exhaust steam from the tailpipe without the smoke from under the hood? made an image just in case what i said makes zero sense If this isn't possible i understand, just curious as to if it is i'd love to have the "Uncle Buck" config without the hood smoke.
makes sense, sad news but ill just punch a hole in the oil filter and deal with the smaller amount of smoke, has a similar effect
Since the Caprice & Impala are winning the vote by a landslide compared to the Ninety-Eight, I think that the limo might eventually be reworked sometime after the B-series Chevys and OEM wheelbase Ninety-Eight are done.
Thanks to @98kev I found out about this weird way the front turn signals work on this car, they flash in an alternating pattern when the headlights are on for some reason I managed to replicate this behavior without using any custom lua, thanks to the new custom electrics system, used on vanilla halogen police flashers. Definitely was looking forward to this update. However I’m still running the old version due to the caprice not being available yet. Is there any file i can use to help with the headlight texture.?
Impala progress, finalized the interior and started working on the front end. Front fenders done, with all the trim pieces, and an option to add these huge cornering lights that were on the Caprice Classic Brougham LS. Also derby cut fender variants included. Will do all the hood variants next, and the shared Caprice/Impala wagon base will be done, and only the Impala specific parts will be left, which are also shared with the sedan. Also will need to adapt the new parts to the skin UV.
Another thing I've noticed that may be a bug is that the only Oldsmobile spoked hubcaps available have a dirty-looking dull grey texture; in the old mod (and I assume the real car) they were shiny chrome.
