I love the funny coincidence that I mentioned the greatness of switching to PBR just 2,5 hrs before the update that PBR'ed the WCUSA buildings!

 

Now if only the PBR documentation was updated...

 

Thanks for fixing this issue, stayed up way too late last night drifting through the building in a Miramar Ute, easily one of my favourite updates ever, well done to all the team an amazing job was done with everything and I am stoked to finally have a ute in game that I can drift around in.

Truly one of the best updates, still feels surreal because it's only been two months since the Sunburst! This update honestly came out of nowhere to the point where somebody posted about it yesterday and I thought it was satire lol.

I think he means the one nearish to Jerry Rigs and Shuffleboard, the one near the tennis courts.

 

I just discovered how fun the Miramar is! even the sohc, 4 speed... only if it had more engine options. Which got me wanting to try and mod more parts for the engine and man thats a struggle for me. I am not great with code and self learning.

Anyway.. I had an idea, it would be nice in career mode if damage was not mandatory to repair. If you total it, sure you will have to repair. but if we could choose to just fix the engine. leave the body banged up. etc. maybe have a check off list in the self paid repair and not just the whole car. Also it would be nice if the engine and suspension wears down over time and starts leaks (oil, coolant, etc) which could cause even more damage if not repaired. starts to burn oil, starts overheating at idle... that will lead to engine rebuilds or replacement (more costly) or even lead to engine swaps if available.

 

I have the terrible news that it seems to have started happening to me again and I still cannot figure out why. I've removed all my mods from the folder, deep cleaned cache, reverified through both launcher and steam and I still can't explain why it's like that. As a temporary workaround I'd love to be able to force the cargo loading popup through the console, but I don't know what I'd have to type for it.

edit: i moved the vehicles folder. like the one with all the car setups. because i guess it was trying to load them as traffic even though they were for mod cars that aren't currently installed or activated? at least i can run cargo again

I'd also like to add on a happier note that I was very pleasantly surprised to see that the Miramar Ute is allowed to carry an entire XL box and change which gives you a vanilla option besides suffering through the giant roof box, getting a trailer, or getting a D/H/MD series. A very hard working guy

 

This doesn't seem quite right...


Oh and also, I think the player vehicle could be more useful, as of now, you can only really use it to get from A-B, do some drag races, cargo missions, and sometimes you can do a mission with it while getting the main stars. I suggest that when doing missions that don't let you use your own car normally, your car should match a selected few vehicle types (as to not use a small car in a trailer delivery mission, or a ram truck in a police mission) and have at most the normal provided vehicle's PI, for obvious reasons

I can't figure out how to take cargo for a truck trailer in career mode. Or is this not provided yet?

 

Did you buy and put cargo boxes in the trailer? If not, you can go to a garage computer and buy them from there

 

If it's for example a fuel tanker or a dump truck or a flatbed trailer. How can I use them in career mode?

 

I have been restarting career mode in 0.36 with a couple of buses with the interior refitted with cargo boxes. Everything has worked fine so far, however after the 0.36.2 update I noticed that during career mode the traffic signals are all frozen on one signal (usually the main road gets the green). Is this a known issue?

 

I seem to have them working after restarting but I have noticed as soon as I pick something up I get an lua error that seems to cause it. I disabled all mods except a few that are vehicles I own in career mode as they don't appear often, these are Capsule as well as a few payware vehicles. There are no career mods currently installed.

Edit: If I attempt to continue, occasionally it can sort the ATS issue out itself but I am getting other issues that I can't pick up or drop off packages at some locations. This is also happening with only default vehicles loaded now.

 

I missed that when I was reading through it. Unfortunately that is the one running the hybrid drive in the Capsule bus, so I will have to sell it before I can disable it. They have been super hard to find for sale and I have got the 12m open top that can hold about 14 xl on the top deck.
