    I'm still getting the same errors with 0.36. I tried the -cefdev flag, no change. I deleted everything in ~?.local/share/BeamNG.drive, no change.

    it seems like this new update broke the game on the steam deck every single map takes either 30 minutes to load or never loads the only luck i had was with base gridmap that loads normally any idea what's wrong?

    Came here to say the same thing. All maps load just fine for me if I'm in desktop mode, but in game mode it takes ages.

    It seems the crash isn't an issue with BeamNG.drive and more so an issue with the sdl2-compat layer that distributions are upgrading to. A valid workaround is to load the sdl binary from the steam linux runtime. The environment variable to prepend before the game is `SDL_DYNAMIC_API=/home/USERNAME/.steam/root/ubuntu12_32/steam-runtime/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libSDL2-2.0.so.0`. I get no crashes after applying this to the game.

    setting SDL_DYNAMIC_API= Actually fixes Crashing for me too, however I generally still can'T launch the game within Steam since 0.35

    doing this and running in windowed mode stopped the crashing for me

    Windowed mode seems to fix crashing. SDL_DYNAMIC_API has no effect on my system. Both Fullscreen and Borderless will crash the game.

    I think I did a mistake somewhere, does the game immediately crash if you load a map in windowed, then switch to borderless or fullscreen?

    After a quick gameplay of just a minute, it does not crash at that point. But when I open a menu by pressing ESC and start selecting Map or Vehicles and just go back and forth, it will crash the game at that point.

    ok so I'm not sure how exactly but I indeed had to find out SDL_DYNAMIC_API doesn't actually fix it for me either, not sure why but maybe the first launch it did somehow?
    and aside from that my game acts the same as yours, crash related to UI actions in Fullscreen and Borderless.

    Also Noticed very weird motion blur behavious sometimes? I can't reproduce it anymore, but the car was blurred, even though it's relative position to the camera wasn't changing, also independent of "blue own car" setting

    This release is finally working for me in Wayland, performance seems good too.

    2 issues to report.

    On East Coast the LOD pop in for the trees in the forest seems weird. There is a lot of flickering and colour shift as they get closer.



    SMAA does not seem to be working.

    I was able to fix the screen flickering issue on Wayland by changing the Vulkan implementation from RADV to AMDVLK.
    This switch also fixed some unexplained crashes I got after updating to 0.36 (running Mesa 25.1.4-1), so I will stay with this implementation for now.

    Yeah, AMDVLK seems to work on my system, too.
    On Mesa, the windowed mode trick only worked on my Radeon 6800XT, but on 9070XT it still crashes.

    I'm on Fedora 42, KDE Plasma 6.4 (Wayland). Kernel 6.14.11, Mesa 25.0.7
