Happy to announce that mod is now on repo! Grab a link to get rid of manual updates: https://www.beamng.com/resources/klassiker-small-rare-wheels-pack.34812/ "Klassiker" is a wheel pack aiming to recreate some older less common wheel patterns - usually of smaller size (13" - 15") mono pieces. This is a detour from my "main" modding projects with 5 designs planned for initial release (in next few days or so) and other being added as they are done. All meshes and textures - 100% original, modeled by references from real wheels. Full list of models, in-game and actual names will be listed there as wheels are done. Future plans and ideas will be secret for now I hope that will add more style options and immersion for players who like older simplistic vehicles, like Miramar, Piccolina, Trapez, Covet etc. Enjoy! This update, v0.13a, will deliver some goods for those fellas who love good ol' german designs! Mod should be available on repository soon as it is undergoing aprroval. Klassiker Strahl ("Borbet A") are now in with quite some options: - standard color and colorable (Paint slot 2) - 15 and 16 inch, 7 and 8 inch width - two hubcap variants More style options with Klassiker and stay tuned. 6 / 25 done. There is a lot of jbeam definitions, i might've missed something, report in if you find any bugs (literally unplayableâ„¢).
Today's update (0.14a) will give you a replica of VW Multivan Allstar alloy wheels (named KLK Rille), and their rarity is limited to only one size as original wheels - 15x7.
Can you please make this hub caps they are such a meme in germany. they are no name https://images.app.goo.gl/2VM7W2oB62oygfNt7 https://images.app.goo.gl/SstspEWkGvmvkusWA
Hehe, we have same memetic here: I'm not that interested in hubcaps, will finish the wheels first and then we'll see what i can do. I have a long list o make still
Spicing up the 0.36 update, Klassiker is updating too, and this time it brings classic Porsche Fuchs wheels into the game with a LOT of variety! What we have: Size - 15 to 18 inch Width - from 7/8" on 15" wheels up to 9/10" on 18 inch! 18x11 planned but not yet added. Finish - eight variants of finish and coloring! Virtually everything is possible. Okay, not everything, but a lot. Enjoy!
i can't seem to find the gold 5 spoke ones, unsure if they are four or five lug, but i can't find them on either and some cars just don't have the wheels from this mod at all for some reason, why would this be? otherwise AMAZING mod
5 spoke gold are just colored variant of KLK Strahl. Cars with 4-lug will miss some options from the list too. If you can point me to cars that don't have any options with either 4 or 5 lugs, I will try to figure it out.
sorry for the late reply, they all show up now, but some are invisible (its not the weird visualization tool thing either) i can add a Screen Shot of this bug if needed
nvm it won't let me upload the image because two step is off but I'm trying to install the strahls (ive tried both uncolored and colored (ETK I is the car) --- Post updated --- fixed the 2 step thing --- Post updated --- relaunched, verified game and cleared cache, still not visible when equipped
I will look into this issue today, thanks for reporting, figuring out and fixing it should be rather quick, but updates on repo take time due to approval process. I will keep you informed
Update on your issue. I did not figure out what is wrong. I did move out the unpacked work-in-progress version, deleted cache by hand and did a deep cache clean - so basically the fullest cleanup i could to ensure i have no cached .cdae or any .dae model, png or dds textures anywhere. I also disabled all other mods. After that i did a regular install of KLK from repo and tried both Strahl and Zunder in 15x7. After few seconds of texture cooking, they're all here working just fine (see image). That means I need more details on your issue. Please, send console output as you install the wheels and specify exactly what are you trying to install (wheel type, axle, size, finish if applicable). Both for Strahl and Zunder. As many as you can with errors included. I suspect now there is something wrong on your side but i can't be sure; though, you are the only one currently reporting the issue. There still may be something that may not be applicable and work (or break) for every user, particularly Strahl jbeam is very messy and needs a cleanup. Send the above request and we will figure it out.
As much as I'd like to, there are few reasons why i will not: - i don't want to get into legal trouble - i know wheel manufacturers (those that still exist) are usually BASED in that regard, but i can't know for sure for everyone. There is a reason why all Ferraris got renamed to Civetta and rebadged. - my wheels clearly lack visual fidelity in what it takes to be a model that is worth bearing original name, let's be honest. I just recently realized i didn't model wheel bolts/nuts and bolt wells on most wheels (there was a reason to that and it was a wrong one). - if we get to the real wheels, there may be a lot of options in terms of size (at least we can fix the offset differences through jbeam) and material finish to them from the factory, which implies they will be in the mod as well. Considering two above, this will increase the size and work done 5-10 times. This is a laidback mod and I'm not very focused person, and I'm struggling even now with 25 sets i have on the list (not even halfway there), and i learned my lesson with Fuchs which took me a good long while to make that number of different size and finish options. So no, I don't consider making real life counterparts for public whatsoever. As a paid commission - well, maybe, but who will be interested really? I doubt enough people will be interested to offset the time needed for it, even if we keep it on hobby side of things and price. Just can't justify it for myself - chasing excellence here probably is too expensive.
