A great update to this mod, but there's just one little thing that irks me a bit in it...and that's the fact that the Suzuki Jimny doesn't have a steering wheel for some reason. Both in kei form and Sierra form.
It doesn't make a difference in lag for me. But it was a nice feature that should have been kept, but maybe was removed as to keep the mod separated from normal vanilla traffic.
It'll return at some point but it needed redoing and fixing up which was a pain and I didn't have time to do that for this update oops, will fix
Hi, I was interested in creating my own "jdm lore friendly" car group with some modded cars like the avior for the c1 highway but after trying for a few minutes I realized it wasn't as easy as changing a few names in the folder, will you ever create a tutorial for creating a custom car group?
Yes, but that kind of defeats the purpose of the mod. The lore friendly versions of the simplified vehicles aren’t at the bottom of the selector. Yes, I can use regular beam traffic, but then I can’t run nearly as many cars.
Hey Agent, Amazing work—and thank you! This has definitely elevated my BeamNG experience for both me and my friends. I had a quick question. Like you mentioned, BeamMP is prone to breaking things, but surprisingly, I’ve had a really smooth time with it lately and haven’t run into any issues playing with friends. There’s just one small thing I haven’t been able to fix: the vehicle colors. Everything works perfectly on my end, obviously, but for my friends, the traffic cars only appear white. I’m guessing this is due to the random color picker coded into the mod, which probably wasn’t designed with multiplayer in mind. I was just wondering—are there any workarounds I could try on my end, or is this something I should probably give up on? Thanks again!
Could you add the speed limit for the ai into the UI app next update. That would be greatly appreciated by me
Back working on this again and now experimenting with some of the more silly ideas I've had for a while Been meaning to experiment with getting some Big stuff working in the mod for a while now and finally sat down to do it now that the Japanese pack was ready for a first released. It works surprisingly well in traffic and I have a couple more ideas to help there but as it's physically just too big for some maps I've also implemented a system where the large vehicles can be toggled on or off when spawning the group, which will also apply to any large truck or bus or whatever else gets added in the future. This one took a decent bit of time vs. normal cars to get it all working good (and some late night vcs getting all the jbeam intricacies stable enough, almost scratch body plus insufficient existing suspension jbeams is a fun combo) but should be back in the swing of things now with new content for the mod now both my main packs are released. The stock traffic groups will also be returning soon as an addon mod so I don't need to tie updates to this mod to game updates to keep it maintained, just haven't found time to sit down and fix them all yet. Will also be trying to be more consistent with progress updates over here, I've realised I usually end up forgetting this thread when doing new stuff and given it's a much nicer experience than the discord threads thing I should probably be changing that.
We love the silly ideas! Especially when it's something different. I was honestly pleasantly surprised to see the truck among regular traffic when I first played with your mod.
This bus looks sick! Been waiting for a mod with this type of bus body that's actually good This mod is also great for my BeamNG movies, as it's less laggy than the normal cars
