Re: General discussion chat They're both official beamng chat groups, only difference between the two is skype has some additional features that IRC does not, I don't see why how you act would be any differently between the two seeing as they are basically the same thing...

Re: General discussion chat Those are graphics settings which do not rely upon the CPU. BeamNG doesn't auto detect graphics settings. It puts them to all high for everyone.

Re: General discussion chat I think multiple stints measured in hours is plenty to work out that IRC was a nasty place. And no, you being around makes no difference as you were around back then. I have and do use IRC elsewhere with no issues and found other communities to welcome people with warm arms and generally be pleasant people instead of mods/asmins insulting them and their mothers over the fact the newcomer (or in that case not so new) had designed a 4 seated sandrail instead of a 2 sweater, yet as soon as a mention 1 cuss word I get an infraction just half an hour later in the same discussion. Double standards. worst community ever.

Re: General discussion chat Just because its been around for a long time doesn't change much, IRC is obviously official but the skype group was also created by a moderator from the forum which is different than any random user making it. And besides even that doesn't excuse acting like an idiot in the group...

Re: General discussion chat I think that applies to every part of IRC except #smussmg, and if you go in there, you will be kicked. It's a nice place. The rest isn't.

My Skype group isn't official nor does it represent BeamNG in any way, it's the go-to place to talk about anything you want, however you want.
