Re: General discussion chat Uhhh No. Yuppie stands for Young Urban Professional, which is really Yup it it became yuppie. It was mainly used in the 80s to describe young, college educated people who have a well paying job and live in or near a large city, but every now and then you see it used today. I remember seeing that car. It was the only 00 there. Looks a lot worse in person. The gaps on the front end were all way off like it had been wrecked and very poorly thrown back together.
Re: General discussion chat Been wondering for weeks what kitteh meant by yuppie and why thehate for them. Yuppies by definition aren't in schools anymore. Why hate them? They worked their own arses off to get their professions, not just having it handed to them on a plate, jealous? Works your own arse off then. Now I see he means spoilt brats. Those are spoilt brats not yuppies. Met somebody a few months ago I went to school with. Dropped out after GCSEs, no formal qualifications and works in co-op supermarket. He bitches about how its the schools fault that he is where he is. He actually had equal if not better opportunities than I (he came from a richer family, going into secondary school my mum was a single parent who couldn't even make ends meet, part of junior school I was living with my gran as we were homeless otherwise). Yet here I am doing a degree, he is not. Everyone gets equal chance. No point hating the yuppie because he took it rather than throwing it to the wind.

Re: General discussion chat Does anyone on here wear eyeglasses that are over -20 diopters? I have my -20 diopter glasses but I have horrible vision when I wear them. My vision is so blurry when I wear my -20 diopter glasses.
