Re: General discussion chat Styling preference. The M5 was a sedan from the beginning. It looks chunkier and boxier, it's roof is more straight and it has flatter lines. While this isn't a bad thing, it migth not be everyone's cup of tea. The M6 on the other hand is a coupe that has had an extra pair of doors added and not much else, so it keeps the silhouette inherited from the coupe version, being rounder and sleeker with a lower roof line.
Re: General discussion chat IRC/Forum argument is bullshit. Both are good. Forum can be funny, IRC can be funny. Just get over it, it's a chat on a website.
Re: General discussion chat Just did some testing. Concluded the moonhawk is the 3rd slowest vehicle in BeamNG.
Re: General discussion chat It falls in front of the Pigeon and T75, I presume. Also, the base Covet is faster (assuming you tested the base model of each vehicle)? Even in Automatic form?
Re: General discussion chat Base models are typically manual. Covet manual beats out a moonhawk i6 manual right up to about 90mph or so, Its only then that the moonhawk manages to ever so slowly catch up and very very lightly have a little lick of the covets rectum. Covet sport manual is faster than a moonhawk v8 manual (figured 1 level up from base = sport on a covet and v8 on a moonhawk). Didnt play with autos as they are typically optional extras. Maybe a moonhawk manual can catch a covet auto, maybe it can't. But its a slow lumbering creature. Its only once you get a v8 sport moonhawk that things get fairer, except I thought 2 trim levels up would then be a covet race. Off the line, covet leaves moonhawk for dust. Covet max speed is lower though so eventually the moonhawk will rearend the covet. Tests performed by disabling AI. Resetting the 2 vehicles infront of each other. I drive the one in front hitting accelerator at same time as activating the attack player AI so the one behind attempts to pursue you. If rear vehicle is faster than front, it will ram it.
Re: General discussion chat Here's a basic rundown. We were given a special file. In the file, there are 50 lines of random data. The data consists of 5 integers ranging from -10 to 10 on each line. We were told that we had to code a program that would open the file, read the data, and categorize each line as "Negative", "Positive", "Tie". The classifications are average number line spot. If there are more negative numbers, the line averages as negative and so on. Using the fopen command in PHP, I had the program open the file and read it. I also gave it it's own variable (labeled "$data"). Using a while loop coupled with the feof (end of file) command (typed as while (!feof($data))) I input a switch block (if, elseif, else) to analyze each line of data. Thing is, I know that there's something wrong with the switch block, but I don't know what's making it crash before it even gets there. It can open the file, it sees the data, but it hits the switch block and crashes without throwing an error, without even attempting to run. I have no idea why.
Re: General discussion chat An apache server set up for newbies should have had error reporting enabled by default. Please go and moan at the tutor and tell him to enable it permanently in future. error_reporting can be used to change the reporting level on your own code at runtime at least. Most notably disabling errors on sites that will be run publically yet have warnings you havent fixed
Re: General discussion chat just setup an IT help desk thingy holy shit this is quite useful, i can see EVERYTHING also the ticketing thing makes it much easier for my siblings to tell me whats wrong (as they suck at explaining in words)
Re: General discussion chat Well, i have a intel 386 computer. Processor was out of the machine and some pins were bent. I had to use pliers, credit cards and screwdrivers to unbend them. Now normally, that would kill a cpu right? NO, THIS THING EFFING LIVED. i put in the pc and it turned on!
Re: General discussion chat Isn't the M6 Gran Coupe technically a sedan version of a coupe version of a sedan?
Re: General discussion chat I am saving up to buy a new laptop, and am stuck in a predicament. I can't decide which one of these two PC's are better: Asus G751JY http://www.asus.com/us/site/g-series/G751/ or MSI GT72 2PE Dominator Pro. http://www.msi.com/product/nb/GT72-2PE-Dominator-Pro.html#hero-overview They are both around $2300, so price doesn't change the outcome of the PC. Please don't say "Don't buy a laptop, get a desktop." I need a portable PC, which can play games, but also do schoolwork for next year. Our school has bring your own device in Year 9+.
Re: General discussion chat I don't get these kids I have a toaster gaming machine with a ancient motherboard which has old sockets which won't even accept new ram, and i don't have any plans to buy a new one. If this was 20 years ago every 15 yr old wouldn't be saving for a new PC, but for a CAR i don't know about you, but i will enjoy a car for more saved-up money more than a pc for my saved-up money. Oh unless your parents are gonna buy a ride, then it is okay.
