Why community is getting toxic.

Why community since 2023 starting to hate mod creators? Why?

 

Because new modders nowadays take on too many tasks and plans for the mod, when some don't even know how to use Blender, which is why the mod is cancelled properly. It's annoying, you wrote in the previous thread "Help new modders!" yes, I don't argue, help is needed, but when a modder doesn't know ANYTHING and asks another to finish his work from scratch, it's very annoying.

 

Come on. You should be really careful with what you say. Do you think this is the right way communicating here?

I’ve been modding since Feb, so I’m still very new. I made 2 mods where my expectations were overstimated, but I learned a lot. I agree that many new modders take on too much without the basic skills, which is why mods get cancelled. Asking for help is fine, but expecting someone else to finish your mod from scratch is annoying. Start small and learn step by step to actually grow and finish projects.

 

How have you and mimolli still not been banned?

New modders hate to be accused of not knowing anything. When I started off and was asking jbeam stuff I got a "Well I can tell you dont know nothing about modding" It can be taken as rude I am better than you. It is a form of bulling. It is why I tell people all the time, This is what works for me, it may not be the fastest or best way to do something, but it works for me. I tell people often that I am only slightly smarter than 2 sacks of rocks. So I set a low expectation going in. Come across as a know it all, and get eaten alive. I only figure out things from an obsession to figure out things and use the old tried and true method of trial and error.

 

Lead by good example and things will stay balanced. Hope you all stay safe out there and be good. (Also multiplayer and brainrot are why the communities are getting toxic. As beam ng drive becomes more popular the roblox lowlifes and everyone else from fortnite are filtering into here fairly gradually. If roblox gets destroyed and shuts down. Kaboom. A TON of bots and other users will flood this and mp.)

 

A friend of mine came from modding Mudrunner said it was really toxic and came over to beamNG to get away from that mess. I myself has been toxic from time to time, think we all can get that way with enough stress. But its really not worth it to get into with people. Tempting but best to let it go by. I never played roblox, hopefully they will keep that thing running longer haha

 

I started out as a troll on VS and MF forums (pre BeamNG) thing could get toxic then graduating to Althist wiki and was the victim of toxic behaviour and its not great I like beam NG drive md no one is an Einstein so if a mod is bad or you hate it tell the creater dont be toxic ok
