Okay, you seem busy enought and I hate to ask for something on here... but if I could offer a little idea in case you ever get bored!

I've tried modding and I'm apparently too old and stupid to do it... but what about some nice circular rally lights for the front bumper of the late Beetle, like Hella 5000s.

(I've been struggling to make a skin with colorable hood and decklid as I want to do a Porsche Salzburg rally Bug replica... but alas, I can't get it to work)

You covered 53-57 reaching to 70's almost. I found some cool diagrams of all beetle models that expand from the 63 right back down to the original mention in 38.

    1 - Volkswagen Käfer (1938 год)
    2 - Volkswagen Käfer (1953–1957 год)
    3 - Volkswagen Beetle UK-spec (1970 год)
    4 - Volkswagen Beetle (1972 год)

OML I would LOVE some more Rally specialized parts for the beetle!!! Some hood mounted fogs, or even some attached to the roof would be SICKKK.

Also, for those talented enough to know how, It would be super super cool to see some parts imported from other games whose models are available. I know GT7 has a cool subtle widebody, hood pins, and even some more wing options and exhausts, and NFS Unbound has a BUNCH of parts we could carry over.

I would love to see some development on herbie's AI, to where if he's angry at you, he wouldn't start, or wouldn't let you open doors etc.

do like me put him on a trailer and do a highway start by driving then let him slowly go off the trailer while your moving it will pretty much slowly make him hapi since it would count as driving

Hey Mr. X, idk if this is a known issue, but the 14x5.5 wheels (both Smoothie and Slotted) are bugged and don't load the model in game.

Heyo guys! Currently working on a config pack for the bug, adding in all the screen accurate variants of each Herbie (including the engine and transmission, but will still have the herbie personality for realism-sake and drivability!) Here's a sneak peak at the "Douglas Special - Street Spec" Herbie from The Love Bug (1968)

Thank you! The Love Bug did first release in 1968 with a select release in December, and then a worldwide/nationwide re-release later in 1969! I'm going off the idea that it was first released in 1968, since that seems to be the most commonly credited release year!

I wish I could add new parts, but both my modeling and modding expertise is exactly ZERO. I'm working to just make a config pack of every major version of Herbie from each Film. The currently completed versions are:

    The Love Bug
    • Showroom
    • Douglas Special - Road Spec
    • Douglas Special - Race Spec
    • Douglas Special - El Dorado Spec

    Herbie Rides Again
    • Steinmetz' Spec
    • Chicken Joust

    Herbie Goes To Monte Carlo
    • Trans-France Road Spec
    • Trans-France Race Spec

Honestly it's the suspension and brake setup. The road spec is meant to be more smooth and enjoyable for actual road driving and racing, while the race spec is good for track. I might consolidate it into one car tho

Not bad what about the Steinmetz spec. Would that have the iconic uncovered foglamp?
