Need help (RLS Career Overhaul)

I'm new to installing mods, so If what im doing is obviously incorrect i do apologise.

I've been following Youtube videos and the written tutorial in the github page, but its not working.

This is what i did: Windows + R and entered "%appdata%" - went back a page and to "Local"
From there i went to Beamng.drive and im presented with; 0.35, 0.36 and version.
I opened the 0.36 folder and there was no mods folder to be found, so i created one. Copied the zip file into that mods folder and tried it. Didnt work.

So then i read in the written tutorial; "Note: Replace Latest with your current game version." so i just renamed "0.36" to "latest" and hoped for the best, but still not working. If anyone could help me that would be appreciated.
