NX Coupes are awesome. Right up there with the Exa, Starion, and Cordia Turbo imo. I vaguely recall them paired with SR20s
I've seen quite a lot of these things over the years, It doesn't seem the best car in the world. You never even have to try when overtaking one. Its not one of Japans greatest cars.
It might be the same case with this nissan as it is with hondas. Lots of potential but most buyers are teenagers who won't really ever mod it right. sr20 can make power, we know that, and that car looks pretty small so i would guess it's light. That one must be a parts car or something, front is up way too high to have an engine in it.
I am able to get one of these for cheap...like maybe 100-200€ from an distant uncle of mine.. It's a Nissan 100NX and I don't know if I should go for it...It has some prblems, especially with the exhaust system...I don't know if it's worth it since I know nothing about this car..any thoughts? Does it have potential? Edit: Crap...I should read the posts before I post ...whatever
I suppose Wankel is the correct term, though most people (including Mazda) use the term Rotary (Note the "RE" badge on their cars) As far as the plane engines, these are generally known as radial engines Here's a nice Mazda ad from the 70s
Rotary and radial are not 1 and the same. 1 has a fixed crankshaft and a spinning crankcase (rotary), the other has a fixed crankcase and a spinning crankshaft (radial). Rotary: (imported from here) Radial: (imported from here) Wankel: (imported from here) WHat is in a mazda is not a rotary engine, even if they themselves call it a rotary it just makes mazda wrong. A mazda wankel engine is no more a rotary engine than a traditional american v8, infact due to using pistons the v8 is probably closer than the wankel is.
one word...rice........what am i looking at???....*vomits*.....*vomits again*......*gets the riceophobia*......*vomits again*...
That's called Bosozoku and it's a style that ( I think) is very popular in Japan, to be honest it still looks better than the usual honda ricer because the people that made it actually spent time on the kits, exhaust system and that stuff, unlike most ricers that just buy their kits and put them on very quickly but badly done. Meanwhile, I'm wondering why nobody posted the Nissan Silvia (or Gazelle?!) S12 yet...
