Yep, another shit from tonycartony. Get a job buddy, you make on emails because gumroad takes a little cents from the price. Id love to have this mod as free, because every, bycicle, superbike, supersport, chooper versions of motorcycles, all paid. get a dang job
Does anybody have one of these paid bike mods along with the Hirochi Bandit? If so is it actually better enough in terms of ease of driving to be worth the money?
Shame on you guys for crapping on this guys work because it costs money. I personally don't have this mod but from what I see it looks very well made. If only you people knew how much work actually goes into making stuff like this. Some of us would actually like to see some profit from our hard work rather than just a thanks.. Tony don't let these fools dissuade you. Keep up the good work!
You should know that TonyCartony uses free models from Sketchfab for his mods, which we can scratch the “effort” out of the picture since good quality paid mods are meant to be made out of scratch completely and without using free models. His mods are mainly overpriced and this dude doesn’t even make free demos. All of his mods are paid and none of them are free as well, which is just pure greed. Don’t believe me? Look at all of TonyCartony’s mod threads and you’ll see what I mean.
I won't go back and forth here as to avoid ruining this thread this isn't a place to argue. However models are only one factor of creating a mod on here. Sure he did not create the model used for this mod, but that does not mean there was no effort involved. To be honest, porting a mesh into BeamNG is the hardest part of modding as jbeaming is extremely time consuming and takes forever to get right. If jbeaming was easy, you would see a lot less "mesh slap" style mods. Also, it is not greed it's simply business. He is creating a product which took months to complete and offering it to the public for money. Go ahead and download a model off Sketchfab and port it into BeamNG. Everything will make sense to you then as you have never created any mod on here before.
He is clearly being greedy. One of his mods is literally a log bridge that’s worth 3-4 bucks. That type of mod should be free. Plus, the point of mods are passion, not profit. Some good examples of paid mod passion would be LucasBE (who also made free mods too). --- Post updated ---
This seems penny-wise and pound foolish to me, because piracy is motivated as much by laziness as it is by greed. What percentage of would-be buyers would pay for the mod if it was easy to buy, but either pirate it or don't get it at all because it's a chore? I'd be very surprised if it wasn't large enough to more than outweigh the revenue lost to marketplace fees.
here we fucking go... again,,, --- Post updated --- hes taken free models and added some scripts, j-beams and that lot and he also charges money into it. He is trying to rip everyone off.
When will PhonyCartony get the hint that he should stop making every single mod paid? I mean, how many people are actually paying for these things? Also, I'm shocked this guy still has people that support his modding. Yes, I know that modeling is hard, but if you are selling a mod for money, the cost is normally because you put months of effort into perfecting the mod. Here, Tony already has the hardest part done for him, and while I'm sure it's not easy to create Jbeam, it's certainly easier than modeling.
Ok I can't defend selling a log bridge. However what I see is someone who is curious to see if creating BeamNG mods can be profitable for a small revenue. I personally have thought about this myself for awhile. Just a guy trying to make a small little business
but there are easier and much less sleazy ways to do this than to charge people for lightly edited computer files for a video game
