my uncle one drove a trabi 1.1 from budapest to Amsterdam.

I drove mine to a 95km/h one time but the normal cruising speed for it was 60km/h.
Even at 60km/h the breaks were horrible.

 

well my uncle cheated a bit cus he drove the 1.1 with an motor from a VW golf mk1

 

Yall got lucky with the Trabi 1.1 it was luxury compared to what we had cause ours was a 601 and the 601's max is 90km/h but youll only reach that downhill MAYBE.

youd be surprised how much the 2-stroke ones have problems but the fix it usually a hammer or a wrench, the 1.1 is much better though cause its just a 4-stroke Polo engine

 

Technically good, but 2 stroke be better
