Isn't it technically possible for them to be built on the same platform? I mean, the Fusion is available with AWD, so the mounting points for the RWD Aussie Falcon would already be there. But, hell, what do I know? - - - Updated - - - Absolutely not, actually. The Ford CD4 platform looks be a North American exclusive.
You never hear of these things anymore. I would buy the shit out of one of these in the US. Maybe a little longer wheelbase and the 5.0L that's already emissions friendly.
I've really fallen in love with mid to late 60s Fords. 1969 Fairlane Man, this would make one hell of a cruising car. '68 Torino convertible. Oh god it's sexy. I need to stop before this gets out of hand. Oh yeah, I also love Chrysler's eccentric styling in the early to mid 60s. So different. So out there. That's the New Yorker over 4 years. Just four model years. You go, mid 60s Chrysler.
why lincoln though? lincoln is the luxury side of Ford, so if ford were to bring the falcon to the US don't you think it make more sense to have the falcon as a, well, Ford? as for falcon though, IMO this is the best looking generation:
ford taunus 17m from 1960. also called the ''bathtub'' this car wasnt allowed in usa because of stupid regulations that allowed only round sealed beam headlamps while this one had oval ones dat smile though
Lengthen wheelbase, Coyote V8, spruce up the interior a good bit, and you've got yourself a hit. I'd buy this in a heart beat if it had the 5.0L. Spy shot of an unidentified Ford platform being tested. Rumored to be Lincoln's "one size fits all" platform...
That model I posted would be the Lincoln as it is the flashy model & the XR8 sport model would be the Ford. Like Chevy sells the Commodore & Buick should sell the Calais. Also this is my favourite Falcon, it was once the fastest sedan in the world.
I just love the rear window in the Alfa 145. The whole car looks really good too. (imported from here)
The 458 is looking a little dated. Naturally, Ferrari develops another iteration. Did they deliver? Oooh yes. 488 GTB. (imported from here)
