Unfortunately yes, and from there there’s no way of disabling it until you relaunch the game. Ctrl+L is not a combination to enable the mod, is a combination to reload lua codes (and by doing that the mod applies)
So I LOVE this mod but it really bothered me that you had to restart the lua every time you wanted to use it + you couldnt swap the camera. So i've been tinkering with the mod a little and I think I fixed it: - you can swap camera modes on the fly, just like the rest of the camera modes - no need to reload lua - i did some minimal testing and its working on scenarios too, i found no bugs as of now. - the camera mode is called "enhancedOrbit" i'll leave my fork here if anybody wants to take a look or try it out. I'd like to tag the OP (jtcx, not sure how to do it on this forums), if they'd give me permission to continue working on the mod and adding it into Beamng's repo, crediting them obviously. there are some other optional features i'd like to add to the mod hehe.
Thanks for the fix, but as I installed the mod I noticed 2 things: 1) There are 2 new cameras now, enhancedOrbit and COPY 2) This enhanced camera is incredibly off-centered, it is most noticable on a D-Series. But at least you don't need to reload lua for this to work, I am very thankful for that.
Interesting! the "copy" file is literally a backup cause I was changing the file without any versioning system, and regarding the camera I actually "kinda" fixed it (I added an offset so its almost centered, but i don't know why it got off-centered in the first place) but it seems Beamng packed a cached version or something.. this is my first time tinkering with the modding system so bear with me haha. I'll share with you guys the latest version. Thanks ArsPro for letting me know. --- Post updated --- Here it is, this was the actual version I wanted to upload lol. The file is now much more centered and with no debug/redundant files.
There is no more COPY camera, but for some reason camera's off-centered position is untouched for me. I turned off all mods and cleared cache, but that didn't fix my problem. (I understand, first time modding is tough. I believe in you, man, keep it up!)
Damn! I wonder what's happening there. Maybe something related to the Beamng mod packaging. what car are you using? its could be related to that. I found that the camera position when using long vehicles was not properly centered (I tried with a car towing a trailer for a scenario) Im at work right now, i'll see if I can push some changes later in the evening. Thanks again man for the QA support! Lol
Gavril D-Series D35 Beast configuration. Yeah, it is pretty long, so I think that may relate to the issue.
