Im just gonna say it out loud if you support roblox you support child abuse. Theyre corrupt and doing a lot of illegal things banning innocent people and promoting and rewarding abusers on there. Roblox needs to be permanently SHUT DOWN. ANYWAY back on topic.
What's the top speed you think the loader will have. How long do you think itd take till we get a loader that goes 200

Hopefully the update will come out today, but there's a chance it could get pushed to tomorrow

 

Thankfully, we still got plenty of time - 15:00 UTC is around six hours away.

EDIT: I should clarify that 15:00 UTC is not when the update will release, but when in the day it's most likely to release before. Several of the updates since 0.24.1 have released much earlier in the day (like 0.25 (11:52), 0.30 (10:12), and 0.37 (11:09)), with 14:00 being the usual cut-off point. However, only one update since 0.24.1 has released after 15:00 UTC (0.33, 16:20), so I feel like it's a more reliable time to no longer expect the 0.38.

Also, I guess today probably won't be the day of release, at least according to these messages Tdev posted on the Discord:


The update might not come out this week, if they're having this many issues - I think that's fairly unlikely, but I wouldn't be surprised if that happened.

Also usually updates for mods and new mods on the repo are not getting verfified and released/posted within a couple of days before a new update drops and we got new mods on the repo yesterday and also today...

 

im assuming theyre struggling with bump stops and it glitching out when turning... that or something with .... engines or hydraulics or tires going BANG and stretching across the universe. who knows whats goin wrong before the update but i wish the devs well. hopefully they get to a stable release ready level of stability with whatever the update is so we can have it this week. fingers crossed I hope its today

 

They can cherry pick what mods they aprove

That's only been true for 0.37, as of recent (there were no mod approvals on the 15th of September) - the other five previous updates (0.36, 0.35, 0.34, 0.33, 0.32) had update approvals carry out as usual, for the most part. Also, mod approvals skipping days is fairly normal, even outside of usual update release windows. For instance, there were no mod approvals on the 19th or 26th of November, 2024.

I can say that it's almost 100% guaranteed we'll get 0.38 this year - someone in the Discord said that the update might drop next year, which is...understandable, but highly unlikely.

 

If the update were to arrive at the end of the year or the beginning of next year, version 0.39 would most likely arrive in mid-2026, and that would still take a long time to arrive.

Yes, I agree with both of you that it's practically certain we'll get 0.38 this month - outside of some freak disaster or the data being lost. However, there's been an odd trend in the past few years where people say that the devs will release the December update in January or February.

We have gotten a January and February update in the past (0.21.3 (Jan 2021) and 0.5.2 (Feb 2016)), but those are the only ones. 0.21.3's big content additions were loads for the D/H-Series, which makes it tiny compared to a usual holiday update.

While 0.5.2 was quite big even by modern standards (it had the 800 Series, the node grabber, two new scenarios, and a bunch of new vehicle parts), it was released almost 10 years ago, and at a time where the devs were regularly cranking out major updates once every month or two. So, it can't really be treated as an example of a "holiday update released late", either. (For both of these examples, there already were major holiday updates the year before - 0.5/0.5.1 (Dec 2015) and 0.21 (Dec 2020)).

In the meantime, it's looking less and less likely that we'll be getting 0.38 today - usually, Tdev's posting images on Discord of the new content, but there's not been a peep of that.

EDIT: Yeah, it's not happening today. Not this close to 15:00 UTC.

 

my guess is maybe Thursday or tommorow where the new GTA Online Update will also drop

 

I hope it's extremely unlikely because I'm getting impatient and I'm sure a lot of people are impatient right now. The devs are working hard. Im doin my best to sit still and let them work

Something tells me that the 40 in the sneak peeks is going to be a hint at more than just the loader. I'm guessing from thin air so if I'm completely wrong about this one thing forgive me.

 

They really should though. Having mods not be updated on weekends is insane.
