Emergency brake pedal, in case normal brake system fails. Not functional in game

To be fair, it's likely more difficult to find sound samples for diesel V12s than it is for V8s, and the V8 had already been modeled for the T-Series. With such a large and complex vehicle, I can understand cutting corners with the engine. I wouldn't mind a V12, but I'm not expecting it to happen officially (certainly not any time soon).

Damn, I was so happy that my car has a factory oil temp gauge, and now I'm learning a brake temp gauge exists as well. Also, why does it notify the driver about going too fast? It shows up well before redline in 7th gear. Just a preliminary warning to make sure the driver is aware of their speed and doesn't go over redline, or can "high" speed genuinely damage some components?

Irl high speed damages the tires. Maybe when we add tire thermals it could be implemented in game

I have been waiting for these Giants for years, just for some Oversize Load.:rolleyes::cool:
Overall they're *fantastic* , expect a bit lighter than my expectation. ;)

I'm really impressed by the new vehicles and I'm also fascinated by the new technologies they have brought in the sim! I was especially impressed by the hydraulic brakes of the HT-55. When I first used the brakes and the handbrake, I was baffled by the fact that I couldn't hear the characteristic "Phssssshhhhh" sound of the air brake system the T-Series and MD-Series have. Until I saw the engine-driven hydraulic pump and attempted to turn the wheels with the engine off; the steering wheel turned but the wheels did not and there was also a slight creaking sound the steering system made when it reached full lock, meaning it built pressure in it. Plus, once I turned the engine on, then the wheels turned. Hydraulics are the only solution when this much weight is being carried around. And I'm only scratching the surface!

P.S.: I have a question! I see the huge tires and they make me wonder: wouldn't some much louder and much more basey puncture sounds be more appropriate for these tires?

It's for the airbags of the suspension. Probably for when something is wrong with them.

Those are 2 different kind of airbags lmao. And the suspension ones have a different symbol for them. Although I'm not sure if this one has air suspension, it'd have to have a pressurized air system complete with a compressor for that.

I was really exited when I first heard about these, i immediately got onto the game and tried them out. But honestly i think the WL-40 should have gotten a smaller i6 and the HT-55 should have gotten the v8 but other than that It's a really good add on.

    Hadn't noticed that, tbh!
Anyway, the system is hydropneumatic so yes, it does involve air in it. And it's very nice to have one engine-powered hydraulic center pump unit for the steering, the braking, the suspension and the dump body systems. It's more practical to use pressure to instantly move a liquid for activating the systems instead of waiting for the air pressure to go up/to be released and timing your throttle input correctly in order to not roll backwards/forwards or stall, like in the T-Series and the MD-Series. The only downside is that when the engine fails, the systems cannot be operated because they stop due to insufficient pressure in the pump. But either way it's great, we get to know various different systems! :)

It would be great for the choice between the Economy and Power modes to be introduced sometime in the future. A switch on the lever and a button on the starter button UI app like the one used for the DSEs. It would save some fuel when the dump truck is driven unloaded. :)

One more thing: the Hill Assist is fantastic! At 80% on the ramp inside the massive cave, it doesn't break a sweat even with two 19T marble blocks on the truck!
I hope the cave sometime gets expanded beyond the blocked entrance and further inside the mountain! :)

It's static air suspension, the pressure changes only by the load on the airbags

How does the hill assist work on this truck? It is just automatically applying the brakes or it is a different system?

Automatically applies the rear brakes by the set percentage when off throttle (the hill assist brake pressure is 80% of the brake pedal pressure)

Oh, nice. I thought that it was some kind of retarder/hydraulic brake.
