Early Experimental Preview of Career Concept

So I was trying to buy a fifth wheel T-series to haul heavy trailers but for the life of me I just can't get one to show up in the truck dealership, turns out all of the fifth wheel variants have an extra space in their .json file's body style tag as "Body Style":"Fifth Wheel Truck ", which does not match the commercial dealer's white list in west_coast_usa.zip\levels\west_coast_usa\facilities\dealerships.facilities.json which does not have that extra space so none of them gets white listed. Removing that extra space made them show up in the dealer.

 

My carrer was ruined from LUA error and some table showing, i cant use it anymore such a waste of time i'm really pissed

Not exactly, it doesent crash but all chalanges not working ( screen freeze after enter challange ) computer stoped working, cant save anymore, i sold some vehicles and game didnt save, and manualy too

 

Yeah career mode is incredibly tetchy and likes to randomly break itself just to fix itself and it's a complete mystery as to why it does this. Although we have to remember is is far from finished so you have to expect it tweak the fuck out every now and then.

 

Might be a mod that was installed creating a problem with the save

Also, in career mode tha game run like ABSOLUTE CRAP, impressive FPS drop i got like 10-15 FPS TOP ! My spec is a RTX 3070 12GB and Ryzen 7950X with 64GB RAM SSD's etc. On normal free roam it ran smooth 60fps, but in career Oh man such a WASTE, absolute CRAP. That's why i played only a dealer buy and sold cars, pretty fun, now destroyed !

 

that sounds like a problem on your end, i got no issues with performance. Its likely a previously installed mod conflicting with the save. tbh idk, I only get a 1 or 2 fps drop

Not true, many, many users complain about that a tremendous FPS drops, no configs and mods, i only use custom skybox never had problem with it. I tried to reduce the traffic and parked vehicles, no change, my only mods was add on cars, they dont mess with general configs. I dont use them in carreer anyway. Something is very wrong with that carrer mod, i regret that i lost so many time with that, really pissed me. I suspect because i trade with cars the problem can be a having too much cars ( like 12-15 ) in hig res, somehow it didnt clear them from the game when not used, dont knwo exactly but the performance garbage is for real

 

Car mods when updated or outdated can brick a save. Maybe a clean install but what ever your problem is its somthing to do with your pc/game

 

So CLEAN INSTALL, NO MODS ! And NEW CARREER i just want to test to sell up some cars, after the 3rd sale i got thuis agfain

Could we get tags on parking spaces for ai? So you can list specific configs on it and only they can spawn in the spots. That would be awesome so you can make only certain cars simplified traffic configs spawn in parking spots by dealerships in career mode. It would be nice to see only ETK K series, Bastion and SBR4 spawning parked outside of Richs. Obviously that means if you do not have enough cars spawned in traffic than the whit-listed parked cars may not spawn, then I would say just to make it togglable like the rest of the settings.

 

Not sure if this is exclusive to career mode or not, but the tanker trailer makes horrible noises and shakes around when loaded, sometimes the movement is enough to stall the truck.
