Stolen cars. So for the past couple weeks I've been keeping attention to the search for this 1990 Holden Commodore that was stolen out of a driveway in Sydney, anyway it was found torched in a field this morning & it gave me the idea for this thread. So post before & after pics or just one or the other. The Commodore I mentioned: A 1996 Holden Commodore (this happened last year) A 2005 Holden SS Commodore
I remember when my mum's old shitty Astra got stolen when I was about 10. We left the house one morning confused as to where it went, turns out a neighbor had noticed it in a ditch about 20 miles away. Some goons had stolen it to take out for a joyride, and slid off the side of a hill on a sharp corner. Wish I had photos.
When I was little, our crappy '80s Chrysler minivan was stolen. The police found it totaled a couple hundred kilometres away in Montréal. No pics unfortunately.
I know someone who's car appeared to be stolen one night. Next afternoon someone knocked on their front door to return it with a full tank of fuel. He missed his bus or something and thought the best solution would be to steal a car...
My friends dad bought a stolen car off of Craigs list. They tried to register it and it came up stolen, they found who they bought it from.
My friends car got stolen this weekend by one of his "friends", He drove it drunk and flipped it into the ditch. (It was a fairly nice car to for its age)
I know the police were made aware it had been stolen in the first place but I don't think charges were actually pursued after they got it back. Bit of an odd tale though.
Its not even the same car...... - - - Updated - - - Unless they sold the mags and put steelies on before burning it.
Yeah, the car had been spotted a few days before it was burnt & the person said they had swapped the rims out with steelies
I don't have images, However a guy who is in the same car club as my family had his imaculat 69 Dodge Charger Stolen, He got the car back, It was left abandoned in a woodridge parking lot in Brisbane, The police said when they towed it all the doors were unlocked and keys in the ignition. It's amazing how it didn't get stolen from the parking lot a second time. Police traced the plates and Steve got his purple charger back. Oh and no he didn't have to pay the parking ticket.
