East Coast fun (postponed)

How fast can you do a lap of the tarmac orbital road on the East Coast USA map? (Not sure where i'm talking about? Watch the video below!)

Why not give it a shot! Just follow the rules below and see what you can do in this FUN TT event.

How to get started:

The start finish line is shown in the video below. Its right in front of you when you first spawn in on East Coast USA. Just turn round in the little lay-by area and run the opposite way you spawn.

I timed my lap by using the time stamp on my video. I will do this for all the videos submitted.

The rules:

1. You must do a complete lap of the road.
2. You can use any car/van/truck you want that comes with the standard game and the experimental BETA (No none official mods changes to vehicle allowed - External mods)
3. You can change the power output, tire settings, gearbox setting and suspension settings (vehicle setup)
4. All runs must be recorded and uploaded to somewhere I can view it.
5. You Beamng.com forum name must be somewhere in the video or if you YouTube channel matches your forum name that's ok
6. Your vehicle must be able to do more than 50mph after crossing the finish line.
7. Any cheating / been a douche will result in the lap time been disallowed and the poster been banned from entering this TT. (My decision is final)
8. No flying or short-cuts. You must run the same road I have in the video below.
9. These rules can and will be updated based on feedback from you chaps and if I think of something that could be classed as cheating etc
10. Have fun!

If we get enough people submitting times (More than 16) I will give a copy of BeamNG Drive away. (Costing no more than £10.00)

Just remember its only for fun so don't be a douche etc. Even if you don't want to submit a time etc at least have a shot and try and beat my time. Hell if no one at all replies to this topic I had fun making the video and doing the lap!

^ You can get textured rally lights on your sunburst if you clear your cache.

I don't have a youtube account and if I did I don't have the upload speeds to upload a vid so I can't compete, but good luck all.

Rule 3 refers to optional parts available in the parts selector, so on that basis i wouldn't think a Sunburst engine swap would be allowed (rule 2 it seems applies to 3rd party jbeam modification). Using a race Covet engine however would be fine.

What I'm trying to say is you can use anything that comes with the game as standard. You cannot use anything that you download and add to the game etc.

Just going to add this in, requiring people to post videos will discourage most people from entering because they CBA to record, edit, upload, and post a video. Braindead's rally course operated without video proof and it went well, people are more trustworthy than most think.

Additionally, banning modded content will put more people off as 99% of people use modded cars.

No worries. Still least I had fun running a few laps. Maybe try it again when the software is more developed.

Started this up yesterday. I love pancake physics on Torque3d. Have you gotten to try out the game Besiege ( http://www.besiege.spiderlinggames.co.uk/index.html ) on T3d? Both are extremely enjoyable.
