    Hi!

I try to use my steering wheel in beamng. (Thrustmaster RGT Force Feedback Clutch V.1)

I've tried all, what i've found in the support posts or in google, but nothing works.. Besides i can't find the "torque3d" file. And if I open the console, I don't see any things about my steering wheel.. :(

Can someone explain understandble, how to use a steeringwheel in beamng? I use the steam edition (0.3.7.7).

    Thanks in advance! :)

This seemingly has changed in the newer versions - the wiki article is not that correct anymore. I spent a lot of time to get my Cordless Rumblepad 2 set up yesterday and finally managed.

You do not need to open the console anymore, just go to "Input test" in the main menu. There you can read the identifier for your controller next to its name. You can also see which names the inputs of your devices are assigned to in BeamNG
If the wheel works there, you should be able to get it to work ingame.

Simply copy the identifier in BeamNG and make a new text file called (identifier).inputmap.cs (pay attention that NOtepad will not append ".txt", e.g. by putting the name in quotes in the Save As Window

You may also look in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\BeamNG.drive\scripts\client\inputmaps for examples regarding similar input devices and simply copy and paste one, give it the right name and then adapt to your controller.

You then want to put the file into C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\BeamNG.drive\scripts\client\inputmaps\custom
Restart the game or reload the input Map with Ctrl+M (his is very handy for fine-tuning: leave your editor open, best on a second screen, edit, save, and reload without having to close and open BeamNG every time)

Thanks a lot for your answer! I'll try it and tell you, if it works! :)

It works now! ;) I've done that, what you said and refreshed the driver of the steering wheel.

It's just awesome to drive with steering wheel!
