When Flightsimulator went to Console the community cranked out in more of a negative way. The simulator then improved a lot in stability and performance. Voices got quieter. And the new gamification features landed well too. So I’m really looking forward to BeamNG 1.0
I can't wait to finally play the game that I've been following since 2015 and somewhat played on a extremely underpowered PC (DO NOT RECOMMEND) and had to refund it due to lag, but I still can't decide if I want to crash the Moonhawk or the T series!
From what I hear is that the port is almost done so maybe late July or early to mid August like you said give or take play testing
I really hope my laptop can keep Beam running with volumetric clouds --- Post updated --- those volumetric clouds look awesome!, i just hope my potato can run it
Amazing work team, could hardly believe all this news. The graphics improvements are truly a "next gen" upgrade. One element of the graphics that I haven't seen addressed is the detail level pop in, it's always stood out as something holding this game back. Are there any plans to improve the behaviour of this? I notice most of the camera angles in the trailer are static, which makes this much less noticeable than the usual driving camera moving through the level.
Thankfully I have an m2 SSD so I don't really nice the drop, well I used to have unstable fps but it was only on Vulkan and with uncapped fps
While I'm not sure we need parallax mapping (we are not a walking simulator), yes, this update is going to be a foundation for more future improvements and features.
I mean parallax or similiar effects to make mud puddles, asphalt cracks, stone walls actually look 3D.
The PS5 port does not dictate PC settings, it will have its own tailored settings. Similar to how SteamDeck performance does not impact PC settings, or how a PC with minimum-specs does not dictate what you can run in your own computer. We cannot predict the performance of final builds, neither for PC nor PS5, since those builds don't exist yet. We're still neck deep in heavy development
