Re: Slayer's Vehicle Mods I stripped down the D-15 to better show you what I mean... If you can do the cage for it, I would assume you can do this, but I could be wrong! It's quite simple, the red vertical line is where the firewall should be. (I removed the cab for better vision of the frame) And the line that turns horizontal is when it bends to run across the top of the frame. This would keep it from bellying out like it normally does and your tranny wouldn't go in the dirt as fast, which means your driveshaft wouldn't snap quite as quickly. Alternately, the yellow line is the other style kicker which could either be done as a very long one that goes from the dash bar (of the cage) straight to just before the bumper. OR, I've also seen them run about to where the red one ends. You could run it either way. Does this illustrate it better? Edited for clarification: The lines represent rod that's been welded to the frame. The difference between the red and yellow are just 2 ways that I've seen kickers done before on derby cars.
Re: Slayer's Vehicle Mods The major issue with this is that many things inside the engine bay are done in a manor that involves limited collision triangles and jbeam all together, because if a coltri is made inside something else it can cause issues like a spoiler twisting on spawn for example. The engine bay is a very cluttered space, on top of all of this, my rollcage has been designed to stop the bed in the pickup from wanting to buckle into the cab, meaning the whole vehicle shouldn't bend as much. there for the drive-shaft should be more stable.
Re: Slayer's Vehicle Mods I understand man. I was just saying, it's a realistic way to increase strength. Was simply pointing it out
Re: Slayer's Vehicle Mods Guages Work For RacingD-15 Both custom gauges tested, fully functional No trouble seeing @1080P, however players that use Sub-HD might expirence issues reading the fuel guage.. AS IF IT WILL EVER ACTUALLY HIT EMPTY Sorry for lack of work on the Derby D-15, I was rock tired last night + Working To release the D-15 Racing ASAP, 2nd I now have the next 4 days off, to work the crap out of this mod NO PostFX [HDR, SSAO, DOF =OFF] - 1080P HDR On - 1080P
Re: Slayer's Vehicle Mods Just elaborating on the kickers thing, I've never really seen them done in the "L" way that Mopower is talking about. The way I'm most familiar with them being done is a bar straight from the dash bar of the cage to just behind the suspension.
Re: Slayer's Vehicle Mods Makes sense, seeing as that would create a much more triangular shape with strength, the "L" would just bend or leave something unsupported.
Re: Slayer's Vehicle Mods Race D-15 Progress New 8000RPM Tacho Seat position needs to be moved, will be done when racing seat is added Very accurate reading of rpm Suited for engine which has maxrpm of 7825 Edit this is proof of concept, subject to change in terms of style, and quality. Other Door interior panel removed Redone Tacho Much better looking Blue and Red Highlights More accurate Smooth spacing Reworked Guages Again All gauges have blue/red highlights [Speedo is subject to be scraped and replaced] Reworked Gear and Fuel Guages Oil/Water Temp Guages are not going to be changed
Re: Slayer's Vehicle Mods Yeah, I've seen that too, a lot of places around here don't allow you to have any part of the dash bar or cage to be connected in any way to the frame. That is obviously a stronger way to go, but to get around this rule, they run kickers the "L" shape. Oh, another thing about the Derby version is I don't like the seat in the middle very much... I'm very used to being on the left-hand side of the car and it throws me off haha.

Re: Slayer's Vehicle Mods NEWRELEASE! Thanks a lot for the info, been worried about it for a while, expected it would be fine seeing as most players would of reported it within moments of release.
Re: Slayer's Vehicle Mods [D-15 R 1.1] I've had the audacity to test your air speed speedos. They work great, I love it!
Re: Slayer's Vehicle Mods [D-15 R 1.1] Thanks I know they are not 100% accurate, but neither are real ones or gabester's
Re: Slayer's Vehicle Mods [D-15 R 1.1] Soo... I'm just going to ask if we could possibly get a progress update slayer? Or if you've been busy with real life stuff, I understand. Hope you're doing well. Thanks man
Re: Slayer's Vehicle Mods [D-15 R 1.1] Yes, I have indeed been busy with lots of stuff, stress, new school semester, catching up on work due to many, many snow days. I am also waiting on new proscription glasses that I was able to read smaller than 20/20 within the tests, that I just got ordered yesterday.. because my vision is poor, as runs in the family. I am also being cyber bullied by a friend from a previous school.. which doesn't help me at all, but I won't go into detail about that, because you guys don't need to hear about the drama that is my life. Edit: I was actually just getting on to do some work on the racing truck to double check if it is broken in the new update as it appears to be for me, and I was thinking of scrapping the Jbeam for the roll-cage to make it more simplified like gabe's are. I am glad to see that people do care about my efforts to become a someone on these forums... and do care if I were to disappear.
Re: Slayer's Vehicle Mods [D-15 R 1.1] Hey, I'm sorry to hear about your issues in real life. I know that college can be stressful. As for bullies, he probably won't make much of their life, or they're very unhappy/insecure themselves with an aspect of their own life. And of course we care if you disappear, I like the ideas of your mods and what you come up with. Good luck and health to you!
Re: Slayer's Vehicle Mods [D-15 R 1.1] Thanks, especially for the health note. ^.^ My back just went out not 20 minutes ago.. I went to change my mic cable in the back of my computer and when I got up a part in my back that was sore from a bad nights sleep made a real bad cracking sound.. the pain was enough to take the breath out of you. This is the first time I've ever had this happen. Dam hereditary back pain. [my grandmother has an extra vertebrae and we believe my mom has it to.. and I take after my mother...] Edit: this agonizing pain is ongoing whenever I move now basically. Yay for me. Edit: Yeah.. I need to go back into my bed again.. lol, I can't stay in this chair. [And I really want to work on BeamNG now, god dammit] - - - Updated - - - Racing Truck v1.11 [Bed Cover Colour Fix] Released
