Don't get why people would still use an os that is over a decade old, full of security issues for the modern day, unsupported by developers, didn't support dx9 at launch and still doesn't support 11 now, can't handle ssd's properly, doesn't support sata 3,didn't support USB 2 until a service pack, doesn't support USB 3, has a broken UDP and TCP implementation and worst of all is plain slow. 7 was faster and prettier, 8 is faster still. Went to egx rezzed yesterday. £10 for a ticket through the uni including coach from uni. Got away with only spending £16 there. Even considering that it actually costs me nearly £10 to commute to uni anyway, I've saved cash over going myself and gotten to go with friends.
It'll just be installed on an old computer. A relic that can't handle 7 or 8. I don't want to throw it out, so I'm giving it a new life.
Chinese class is watching How To Train Your Dragon, and I'm on the sofa in the corner of the room with some hardstyle on forumming.
I had a pair of speakers crash on me in music technology. I thought the audio stream had stopped but it was only after turning the speakers off and on again that the music started playing again. Yay for progress
Pretty sure that's just Mac OS X with our great reader built into it. also i think my slice battery on my tablet is dead. it power cycles every 2-3 seconds at boot if i have it in. so now i get only 7 super ultra economy hours for school. they also cost like $140 to replace apparently and my school doesn't cover them under warranty, so i'll check this weekend if i can fix it somehow.
ah okay. i read it being mac osx but that was a while ago and i probably wasn't reading a legitimate piece of info XD
Its a custom linux distro using KDE 3 skinned in a clearly OSX inspired way (although back on Red Star 2.0, the skin was far more XP inspired). Comes with a forked version of firefox (pretty much reconfigured for NK's "internet" and rebranded) and Wine along with the usual variety of text editors etc. Notably, does not come with any development packages installed.
It was actually not that bad to navigate. The folder and files labels were all clear. I can't understand a lick of Korean and was able to navigate it perfectly fine.
So, it's 6 pm on my birthday. So far, I've gone to school. My three friends said "happy birthday" to me. My mom has taken me (and my annoying little sister) to HobbyTown to get parts to sell my Traxxis T-Maxx. And now I'm sitting in the parking lot of Kohl's waiting my sister finish shopping. I already got my clothes. And I've been sitting here for 20 minutes.
The eyes on the rabbit in that photo do make it seem a tad sinister. Much more kawaii on its own in person. Basically went past the same merchandise stand a few times. Each time finding that my friend would get distracted by the cute fluffy furball (the black cat on the bottom) and we would almost literally have to drag her away. She had no cash on her so later on while everyone was watching some tournament a few mates were in (and I was getting a tad bored of) I went back and bought the little kitty she liked, bloke running the stand threw in the rabbit as a bonus. And it was specifically the black one she grabbed when we visited the stand previously.
