There is no way to make it perform well ingame, the best you can do is something like Nadeox's fps mod for it, (uses one wheel jbeam for the duallys).
Well, Whenever we get dual core support we will hopefully get an FPS increase on the damm truck. Until then, I have Rigs of Rods 0.38 with all the semi trucks I could dream of. ALL WITH HYPER-THREADING SUPPORT! Dont know if I should wait and see if this ever is added, or if I need to just go buy my Intel rig. I do know AMD processors have a higher multi core speed, but the worst single core. I sure hope this semi truck doesn't lag when its released... I want to drive it on my PC.
my truck doesnt have no were as near nodes or trangle like the t seires. trust me it will run just fine and if not i will fix it promise - - - Updated - - - i agree with the semi thing but by any chance what is the specs of you computer
Please type in a normal font, and stop saying VERSION 1 VERSION 2 etc. Typically in projects version 1 means release version, version 0-0.99 mean pre release. Regardless a project like this should only have a version once it's released as well. Anyways, your modeling skill looks pretty good and I like how it is coming so far.
Ror doesn't directly support hyperthreading, that's a patented Intel technology used by windows itself not software. Software multithreads. AMD has higher core counts. But shared resources cripple. 6 core Intel can still beat 8 core AMD in multithreaded benchmarks. 4 core Intel can almost keep up. Throw in hyoerthreading on Intel and the 4 core beats amd 8 and the 6 core Intel whoops AMD to hell and back. AMD CPU design staff are just fannying around right now and releasing utter crap. Game supports dual core.... Each vehicle runs in its own thread. High load threads are usually allocated their own core. As such, each vehicle runs on its own core where possible and it is therefore supporting multi core CPUs.
Either way Im still gonna need a new system. I have to replace the M/B, the CPU, The HDD, The case, and my copy of windows. Only parts salvageable are the GPU, and the PSU. That's it. I'm spending 500$ either way. I should've known that the prebuilt personal Crapbag I got was going to be this bad to me... Is an AMD 8 core going to give me any FPS increase over my AMD a8 APU? Currently the only 3 cars that lag are the sunburst, the moonhawk, and the AMD killer T75. And the moonhawk is so close to the playable range of the 30+ FPS, same with the sunburst.
You may wanna consider an Intell CPU due to single core performance... it's not amount of cores you want if you're upgrading because of Beam.
Higher end amd should run everything bar t75. Prebuilts are always crap for the money. Building is only option for PCs really.
Yes prebuilts are crap units. Why do you think I can walk in best buy and sometimes be the only person for a hundred feet. My A8 is pretty capable... I remove the exhaust pipe from the car and it goes up in FPS. - - - Updated - - - My specs are; CPU; AMD A8 5500 APU at 3.20 GHz(Overclocked on my system to 3.46 GHz) GPU; MSI R9 270x 4GB OC edition GAMING PSU; 600 watts RAM; 6 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 The rest is stock HP pavilion p7-1414(google the system number.)
Sorry, but that A8 has pretty terrible single threading. As do most AMD processors. Single threading performance is a huge factor in BeamNG. That is because one vehicle is handled on one (and only one) thread. And the T-series is THE most demanding official vehicle in-game. That's why your computer can't handle it.
Dont buy a prebuilt, and dont buy AMD. AMD is a power hog that sucks. Even the best Intel processors use less power than the best AMD processors. Im planning on upgrading to an Intel system. AMD is tempting, but its too good to be true. Just some advice. I would love to see this in game soon.
I hate that you go on topics and say AMD sucks. It doesn't. AMD is for budget gamers who need a lot of power for cheap. Intel is for people who have a lot of money to spend and want the best results out of an expensive chip.
AMD is barely capable of running BeamNG physics. I can only run one car at a time and keep 60 FPS. Any more and I murder my PC. If you dont want to play beamNG, then AMD is gonna work for MOST things. My APU, just as is, was capable of running Driver SF at 60 FPS, City car Driving at 60 FPS, and some other physics sims at 60 FPS. If you are a budget gamer, Get AMD. If you are looking for an upgrade like I am, and you want to play BeamNG, Im looking at Intel. Less power consumption, better single core preformance, and can handle BeamNG better than the AMD FX series. Not to mention those chips are hotties that take up a good ammount of power. And FYI; I dont run BeamNG off of the integrated graphics, I have my own GPU, an MSI R9 270x 4GB OC edition GAMING.(Well, I dont call it so 'GAMING' because I have not been able to really use it with my pathetic CPU bottlenecking the crap out of my PC.) Ugh... If only PC's just didn't cost that much. AMD; Budget processor, decent for most computing tasks, and some gaming. Intel; Gaming and movie development heaven. Back on topic of the truck, I like how the semi is progressing. If you can make it run full frames on your end, It would be great, as for I don't think my specs are all that much better than yours.
I completely appreciate this comment. I am running an integrated video card, with an i5, but I'm using AMD in my new build. An A10 to be exact. Overall, I just found that the clock speed was better for less, and that is why I bought it. I agree with the bottom part. I actually bought a similar video card. I have a Gigabyte R9 270x 4gb Windforce edition. - - - Updated - - - Have you ever had an AMD chip? Good news, I've had both. I would like to ask the same question to you.
