Let me start this thread of by saying that I am aware this is supposed to be a driving game and not a flight simulator. However, the community has made several beautiful aircraft and they work really well, but are a pain to fly with arrow keys. So I suggest making the game compatible with flightsticks. Accelerator/Throttle Rather than a button, the accelerator would be operated by the throttle lever, with pushing it all the way forward being equal to holding the key, all the way back being the equal to not touching it and moving the throttle lever to anywhere in between would indicate a percentage of pressing it. Control Surfaces Currently, aircraft control surfaces and how they work are chosen by the creator of the model, with the Cessna having a realistic separate control layout for elevators, ailerons and rudders (The last two being operated by the blinkers) while the Miitchell has the ailerons and rudders mapped to the same key, to name a few. With a flightstick, the ailerons are controlled exactly like the steering of a car, while the rudders are operated by spinning the stick left or right (If the stick has rudder twist, like mine. If not, then pedals are usually the norm). Elevators are operated by pulling the stick backward to climb or pushing it forward to dive. Landing gear Currently, landing gear operation varies from plane to plane, with the B-25, for example, using the headlight key and the Titan using the parking brakes key. Setting up a new landing gear key would solve this. Flaps Currently no aircraft in game has them, so nothing to say about it. That's about all. Hope this gets added. By the way, I use a Mad Catz F.L.Y. 5 stick.
With the new controller setup thing you should be able to set your flightstick as you want and per-vehicle
