I found 4 X58 mATX boards on PCPP. All are non-OEM: ASUS Rampage II/III Gene (High end board, probably expensive) EVGA 121-BL-E756-TR (EVGA boards are usually quite expensive) MSI X58M (Cheapest one, try to find this one)
A quick search on Ebay canada for the boards I just posted didn't bring up any relevant results. Several ASUS Rampage III/II boards, but all very expensive. Most of them are NOS. Try to find one of those though.
I meant look for any of the 4 (ASUS, EVGA or MSI). Yes, an ASUS board would be great, but they're expensive.
Bruh. 1.62v. I may have lost the silicon lottery. The most I've gotten is 5.2GHz and it simply doesn't work above that speed, no matter the voltage.
Nice. I considered buying one, but I can't find a reason to overclock my CPU and my 212 Evo is good up to 4.3-4.4 GHz.
Does anyone else want destructible buildings? Sorta how battlefield 4 handles it, but to keep fps down, it only becomes dynamic when a vehicle gets near enough.
Your cooler is twice the size of mine, yet I can run a higher speed AMD with double the cores and it still stays cooler? Either your thermal paste needs replacing or you mounted it wrong. Or you just set it to an extremely high voltage like I did. Mine is lapped with NT-H1 and a Cwazywazy custom mount. (I lost the right screws and I had to come up with a solution when I got a new board.)
i surtently do, but i think small, like, tin sheds or bus stop shelters. even telephone boxes would be great.
Pfft. "Pretty good" for me is never going above 60c. My CPU never even reaches 50c at 4.4GHz. Also, price/performance bro. also y u no grammr
You should see narwhal2's cooler on his FX-6300 (I think). It's nutz. I can't remember how he said the heat sink was attached, but the fan is rubberbanded on to the heat sink.
I use two long screws with washers screwed in just far enough that it doesn't bend the bracket around the pump/block and the other two are bigger screws with springs that are in all the way.
