I'm making an interstate, and it will have overpasses and a small town. I've already started working on the interstate itself and some basic roads. The freeway road texture was from Matrix Freeway. I also got the cargo ship from Airplane Deadisland. Stupid map isn't working right. Screenshots (old, what I had hoped for)
This somehow reminds me of that one highway from NFS Hot Pursuit 2010(?). Speaking of that : Could you add a tunnel?
Interesting... There is a lot of potential in this map. Are you planning on adding a town?Or some exits? Overall looks like a good start!
I'll see what I can do about the missing textures. There are missing textures on my test map as well, but only on the roads. Are there any error messages appearing when you load the level? Also, did you unzip the level to the mods folder or ProgramFilesX86/Steam/steamapps/common/BeamNG.drive/content/levels
I love what you made! i'll download it tomorrow. i hope it's enjoyable! keep up the good work! IGamer43 Steam: IGamer43 Skype: IGamer43
I think I found the missing texture problems: Terrain.ter was missing, and I found it under the documents folder Try downloading the map again, delete the one you already have.
Can anyone please tell me WHY there is an error message saying "Failed to create resource/levels/gridmap/Highway3.ter" and when I look in the level folder it's there?
It can't find the file - either there's a conflict or something is named wrong. Open up the .mis and look for the terrain block - where is it loading the file from? If the directory where the .ter is and the directory where the game is looking are different, that's the problem.
IMO Torque 3D is junk. It is SOOO complicated to create a new track and stuff without something screwing up. You have to get the file system PERFECT or else your map will be doomed to errors. I attempted a few times, watched tutorials, everything. I could never finish ANY of my maps because some way or another, something in the file system is wrong! I guess they used the Torque 3D engine because it got released for free and it became open source. I would really help if the devs somehow fixed this by fully automating the file systems for new maps and if you could just create a new map by entering the title, description, etc. and press a button to create a map.
