I don't have any problems at all, but I found out that the Sedan V8 MT Derby does not have a V8. :p

That orange color instead of the white one was happened some time ago as well and was caused by a new materials color system. Are you guys really sure you've deleted the regular cache, the old version cache AND the materials file cache which is in C:\Users\...\Documents\BeamNG.drive\vehicles\moonhawk_sedan? Maybe there's still materials file from an old version of this mod floating around...

I've got another weird issue; I've removed every interior material from the materials list so it won't interfere with the original moonhawk (unfortunatly one has to load the original version before this mod...) and so I checked the interior of the original moonhawk. Everything seemed fine, except for the dash; left blinker works fine, but the right one not and is lit together with the headlights. Checked mine; works fine. Have the files compared by a program; no differences in the glowmap. Checked the dae; also the same. Just to be sure I copied the original glowmap file lines to mine; problem is now also in mine. Copied the lines from my old file back, works fine again. Still no differences in the file  I've deleted the original Moonhawk, removed ALL cache, downloaded it again but no difference. It's somewhere in the glowmap but I can't find the issue.
Can anyone check if the dash from the orignal Moonhawk is doing this as well? 'Low collant' is lit also with the lights but with mine as well. Manually rewrote the glowmap line but no difference.

And I can't find the cause of the breaking propshaft; it never happened to me... Drove 130+MPH with the coupe, sedan and station with the M4, short M4, racing engine and welded diff. No problems.

Thanks, I've mixed up the sedan and station engines... The derby station has a V8 but the names says I6.

I followed the install instructions SLOWLY and STEP BY STEP, no materials issues at all, no parts selector issues YET. I think 99% of these issues
are simply confusion with the current insane file system.

Also fine here, can only assume user error at cause.

Am I the only guy on the planet that understands the current file system and can see how completely logical it is?

YEEEUP. I'm all ears. Why don't you start a thread explaining it? I've asked the devs for info but no one seems inclined
    to do it. I'm baffled.

Do you have a plan in the future to make the "offroad" version have 4x4 or just have it be 2 wheel drive?

Like the new update by the way. This mod is actually FPS friendly which surprised me.

I had that problem before installing this mod though. I am not completely sure it was you.

It's quite logical but it would be nice if the game removes the cache of a car when it detects a difference (date e.g.)

No 4x4 planning... It's (I think) one of the characteristics of a 1970 American RWD sports sedan that it is RWD (I know there might be 4x4 conversions)

Read the first post. Remove the cache at both locations.

Allrigty then. Is the problem gone now?

Just updated to 0.2.2. Let see if people read the first post.

cant say i have checked, your version is the original moonhawk and so much more there is no need. Though a 4x4 version would be cool it is understanble why not. I would say that the car would be "mad max" style with the roll cage, huge wheels all on a T top coup. just saying, pretty cool chases would be made

    - - - Updated - - -

also, not to sound needy, pushy or annoying (wich I can be) could you add rear facing seats the the limo so that there are three rows. in essence, it would use the stations seats, but the back sets would be the front ones and vice versa. right now it seems empty, blacked out windows would be cool, but i understand you do have a life

It's you and I, and I'm at the end of my rope with trying to explain to people the incredibly simple hierarchy used with mods.

So far the mod works, the only issue I had was with the previous version breaking the original moonhawk interior materials, but I haven't updated to your most recent release. Cheers, love the mod.

my only problem is that sometimes mods don't have the vehicles or terrain secondary folder, and by the time I unzip them, i just place them in content. those that do have them, i put in mods. it is more on mod creators no doing it right that confuses people so they assume no mods work at all. at least for me, and of course, i am every one when i'm talking about myself

in reference to mod, no problems with update other than i could not find Ute roll cage

Re: Bruckell Moonhawk T-Top, Sedan, Station wagon, Ute & Limousine V0.2.0

you dont unzip them to content. If it is an old vehicle that doesnt have a vehicles folder inside the zip, then in your mods folder simply make a vehicles folder and put the mod in there. You never need to touch the content folder.

Aboroath I think was talking from modders perspective. As a map creator he just has to make a levels folder inside the mods folder, do all his shizzle in there, when done send his map folder to a zip with the filepath being amazinglevel.zip/levels/amazinglevel/-all the files instead of just being amazinglevel.zip/amazinglevel/-all the files. You don't have to zip anything until mod release. You don't have to work out of content. Its pretty easy to get by.

The mod I am working on with atomix, I am working out of D:\Documents\BeamNG\mods\vehicles\hatch No zips involved. Only oddity here at all is that I've moved the documents folder on my machine.

The game loads content first from bare files in the content folder. It then "virtually" unzips the zip files in the content folder to well, the content folder, so anything placed in hatch.zip/vehicles/hatch will effectively be unzipped to be in content/vehicles/hatch, if the hatch folder exists then they get dumped in there, if there was already a hatch.dae and hatch.zip has a hatch.dae, it overwrites it (while preserving the original file, the game actually uses a purely virtual file system). It then does the same, loading stuff from the mods folder over the content folder, anything in mods/vehicles/hatch gets loaded into content/vehicles/hatch so in my case the game is doing the job of inserting my altered files over the top of the hatch files for me, it then loads from the mod zips over the top of any of that.
Cache files seem to be a side effect of the virtual file system.

So from lowest to highest priority:
loose files and folders in content
    zips in content
loose files and folders in mods
    zips in mods

And the zips are loaded alphabetically, its possible for more than 1 zip to overwrite base content in which case the highest letter overwrites lower letters where applicable.

Actually causes a problem with my mod as it is not compatible with drowsysams RHD conversion mod but drowsysams mod is loaded as higher priority than mine. It overwrites the hatch main body, which is great but I overwrite that too :/ Thankfully I have a workaround for this in the form of my own equivalent to drowsy's mod that does play nicely with the other stuff so his wont be required.

You know Mad Max uses Ford Falcons which are RWD?

The rollcage is in the bedload-slot

    Read the first post.

    ---

Just found out when everytime you close/restart the game, you'll have to remove the materials cache at C:\Users\...\Documents\BeamNG.drive\vehicles\moonhawk_sedan. Otherwise both this mod and the original Moonhawk will have no interior texture. It's either this or a bright yellow no-texture interior for the original Moonhawk, I can't think of a better way...

Sweet, that sounds amazing. Maybe add some exaggerated features? I dunno. Hope it works out for you in the end. ;)

Great mod, but I've recently (v0.2.2) encountered an issue. Missing interior. Nothing too big but it's annoying nonetheless

That I also understand and know how to do, I actually figured that out by looking at all of the <name>.zip/vehicles/<name> mods, realised the older ones were not that way and changed them. Though I zip up the vehicles folder ad rename it to somehting I can understand so it is <newzipname>.zip/vehicles/<existingfolder>.

But I don't completely understand the reason behind it.
