I've done a bit of reading on this forum some good, some bad, some just plain ridiculous. I Have a version of the game that I was fervently and forcefully told could not be displaying a certain handling characteristic to a specific vehicle, I am not here to name names, I have no interest in going back through that again even though I was not given the chance to actually show my side in a youtube video that I had to post here due to a sabotaged and subsequently locked thread, which didn't matter of itself as those posts here including the video were scrubbed. I don't care. It was amazing though that it was taken as a personal attack by so many. That's fine. Lesson learned. My version is obviously faulty, I can take that on board. Sorry if toes were stepped on and a simple misunderstanding caused hostilities. Even though I am old enough to realize that no matter how much you try to explain yourself, people still have the right and the power to think whatever they want for themselves. And I'll say again, it's a game. If you're young you will only realize when you are older how irrelevant nearly everything is, I'm not going to tell you what's really important in life, everyone needs to find out for themselves. As for the reading I have done, I have never seen a forum for a game so full of contrast between good and bad in all related aspects. The Good is the creative talent of the developers and mod makers the innovation, the ability to take on an emerging technology and craft it into virtual objects and vehicles that is redefining physics in a game environment that is blurring the line between real and virtual. The bad is their general treatment by some members of this community, The sense of entitlement, arrogance and lack of respect. While I was initially hesitant to come to the defense of the developers, the more I have seen the more I wanted to say something. And being aware it will most likely attract negativity. I reiterate, I don't care. It's a game. I don't create anything so like the non-creators I can only offer, as they do, my own personal opinion. Everybody has one or two after all. More Importantly it's their game they allow you to play by selling it to you, beyond that the sense of ownership is an illusion created by your own dedication, which is admirable but can unfortunately lead to delusions of grandeur. It is also strange in the fact this is a creative forum purposefully for the in-game destruction of these objects and vehicles. Build it with one hand, destroy it with the other. I can understand there may be a sense of a void between those that create and those that just destroy. I can't easily imagine finding a middle ground where everyone is happy. For those that incessantly share their opinions or brandish their self righteous attitudes or find themselves the most intelligent and important, remember that opinions can be annoying and advice can be condescending. Try to have fun and feel privileged to be a part of it, choose being kind over being smart, humble over being proud, sharing over telling and so on. Aren't games supposed to be fun?
