Great to see all those nice replies, especially with nice screenshots! Thanks! :)

I am still expanding it a bit, you might have seen some posts about new wheels in the community screenshot thread and development screen thread.
Enhanced the mesh a bit at several areas, aligned the wooden sides for example.

    ---

I'm testing heavier, a bit stronger bumpers atm. Still finding out the edge between too strong and they are a bit heavier so there is a drawback. It's an easy addon as I use the existing mesh but without the blinkers etc. There is also a new driveshaft using slidenodes but I'm not sure the it's worth the complexity of the jbeam, but oh well...

I'm not sure what you mean, the rear axle sort of rotates around itself but doesn't break? Or that it rotates around it's z-axis? The driveshaft is just a simple beam between the transmission and rear axle, so the axle is sort of free to rotate around the axle and/or transmission node without causing it to break.

I have some ideas for the GM but I want to keep my existing mods updated and have some other ideas which are more developed right now. So a GM mod is not in a near future (at least not made by me)

The rear end (Axle+housing) bend in unison very near the hub (just inside the studs, or flared portion where the drums are on the rear ends) The rear end will stay completely straight and bend just in that one spot so that say the left tire is still lined perfectly straight with the body of the car, and the right rear will be spinning just fine still, but the whole tire will be spinning in a direction about 30 degrees out from the car. I'll try to recreate the issue and get some pics for ya! Hope you get a little bit better understanding of what I mean.

I respect Ar's workload and it really pains me to post this pic:p. The GM is such an obvious candidate for wagonization.

Right, which would explain my saying

    "Wagonization and derbification."

    Meh...

But don't get too excited tough:

1: the gm and covet are just quick rough try-outs to get the proportions right, but all tree still need lots of work, jbeam and mesh

2: I want to keep my existing mods up to date, so they are on a sort of hold until I've made some serious progress

3: I'm a bit short on resources; very little time on my hands and my laptop is starting to show it's age: 6+year old HP with Dualcore, second battery just died, low fps, keeps overheating (it has new cooling paste, I keep it clean, it's on a cooling stand) Playing games is not that much fun this way ;)

Let's see if someone spots the minor adjustment to the D-series pickup :p

Yep, slightly taller grill and hood to give it a bit more HD look to it. A bit like the Ford F-series.

Hey AR162B, I think a covet expansion pack would be cool.

Godamn, Hadacoolname mentions money and BAM!..."my laptop is dying"....isn't that just convenient!:p
On the other hand, that is one hell of a testament to your laptop dude, a serious testament.

I love the grill on the truck, VERY F-series looking. The GM wagon......oh man.... and a four door Covet.....oh man!

Hey, I remember seeing you mention that you have problems with the trunk dumping. Remove the trunk lid. It will pack in really nicely. The only problem I've had is that once it packs in, it likes to dump down behind the tires when stress starts being put on the humps, which eventually start to bend once this happens. You'll be stuck on your ass before long if you aren't careful with that.

I did get it to roll up really nicely once. Once it rolled into the window a bit, it was rock hard. Corner shots did bend the humps eventually though.

Yeah... It depends on how I set my suspension too... I like to set it way low in the back with the race coils/shocks and run the derby up front. Helps with the frame bending I think. Only problem though is that the trunk suffers greatly and can really only be used defensively instead of offensively.

Edit: Just tried it frallet, it packs in perfectly! I use that thin "old style" bumper and she packs in like it's been notched haha. Great suggestion, and thank you.

I did forget one thing that I should've remembered a long time ago to mention to ARB. The stock bumper brackets should really be removed. They suck ass. Normally we remove these shocks on the normal derby cars and hardnose the bumper right to the frame. It'll help keep the bumper on. Not sure how much fenangling you'd have to do with the jbeam to get that to work. But it'd be a big improvement!
