I wonder if he was actually doing that with malicious intent? Not that it really matters if he was communicating with someone who actually had malicious intent. thats not exactly insane. Governments love their power. At least in the UK we tend to find our government is doing it's damnedest to be a surrogate mother to everyone. Banning "offensive" pornography, banning "offensive" websites and now it's going after offensive speech. You can only have government approved porn, government approved websites and you can only say government approved things. the Internet Watch Foundation seemingly uses child porn as an excuse to censor anything, or at least pressure the government and a very happy government eagerly siezes the excuse. Hence you can't have X,Y and Z for the children's sake. Every time I find a site blocked by my ISP for either "hate speech" or piracy I tend to find the IWF is very nicely linked for "more information". At least they're incompetent and if you aren't an idiot you won't get caught, and you can bypass the ISP filters. but yes, the UK seems to take words very very seriously. [Edited for better clarity]
