I spent $113 on six liters of 10W-60 engine oil and a oil filter while changing the oil. I wasn't really expecting it to cost that much, not including how much it'll cost to get a diagnostic code reader to clear the service light, or get someone to clear it for me. At least I have the comfort of knowing that it was done properly. I changed the oil around 4,000 miles earlier than the recommended service interval, but it couldn't hurt to do it earlier.
Holy crap, that's a lot of money for some oil! I usually pay around $20-30 for 6 quarts of 10w-30 and a filter. Should be able to shut off the service light easily too, depending on the vehicle. I usually do my oil around every 3000 miles, though it's usually fine to go to around 5k, some people let it go far longer than that without issues but I wouldn't tempt it.
He has a BMW M3. Also, no wonder the carpet was soo dirty. Going to pressure wash the carpet tomorrow, industrial degreaser works wonders.
Wait wait, convert the cab into a operating ball pit from a Kidzone. I haven't grasped how to accomplish that yet, however I have never been more comfortable in my life than when buried in three feet of cheap rubbery plastic color coated ball pit balls. That might just go on my epitaph.

Last thursday I removed my gigantic extralights. Now I can actually see the four rings - - - Updated - - - Fuse number 14 recently kept braking all the time which means that I had no instrument cluster lighting and no rear place lighting. Yesterday I found out why my fuse kept blowing all the time. One of the positive terminals on the rear plate lighting was shorting on the body. I was going to take out the connector that was shorting on the body. Touched it, and it was burning hot! Got to have been a massive amount of resistance between the metals to make it that hot. Anyway, I fixed it by straightening the connectors on both of the lights and wiring some electrical tape on the connectors. I know it's a shabby solution, but it works. No more broken fuses!
Opposite. A high resistance = less heat. Low resistance = more heat. Simpler than that really. V=IR. Voltage / Resistance = Current. P=VI. Voltage + Current = Power. In the case of plain old metal conducting electricity, that power will be mostly heat. Lower resistance at same voltage = more current. More current = more power. More power = hotter.
I was able to reset the oil change service light in my E46 M3 without using a diagnostic tool, and changed out a burnt out brake light bulb in my sister's E90 328i. I need to inspect the catalytic converter for any leaks, and replace the front brake rotors and pads in my mom's W204 C350. I also need to repair the auto dimming mirror in my E46, repair the display issues involving the radio unit in the E90 (a very common issue), and hopefully get around to putting steel-braided brake lines in my E46, as well as a ZHP steering rack.
Not today, but recently changed valve cover gaskets, exhaust header gaskets, and polished and painted my new derby stacks. They're gorgeous. The second pic shows them better
Got some work done. Loooook at the carpets now, I'll link a before and this'll be the after. The rear seat needs to be taken out and pressure washed, that came out of the foam. And the trunk's carpet piece, before/after.
Wow. I gotta say, I'm impressed at how well it cleaned up. Nice. I didn't do shit to my vehicle because I don't own one. :| The city uploaded the PDF for the June vehicle auction. Not a single crown vic. Disappointing. Gotta wait till August for the next one.
