I never seemed to learn how people could enjoy the same thing constantly, and within a group's interest; this is something I still haven't done well. I just stick to whatever I'm interested in, because it isn't nearly as enjoyable for me to participate in what others seem to find fun.

I was insulted for playing Beam during freshman year, which was odd. I never cracked something with their involvement in the Clash of Clans thing during that time.
It's pretty common for the people like us (the mentally different, not the BNG forum) to take interest in the same general things.

I've been hearing that a lot of people with ADHD end up in a trade, due to all the fast-paced, flexible, and laborious workloads that seem like a nightmare for people like us. There's lots of instant gratification, and the flexibility of it all is very helpful. (it also depends on what the mindset is; work is a lot worse when you hate it, at least for me)

Well, I don't have any diagnosed mental issues, but sometimes I get depression due to stress, although I'm not the most popular person.

i have ADD, does that count?

on another topic, i'm defragging my HDD, it says it's only 2% fragmented, so TIL 2% fragmentation is enough to make it so that even though i have 206GB of free space, i can only shrink the partition by about 14gb

why am i partitioning? triple boot for windows 10

Maybe, just maybe life sucks and there are a lot of depressed people in the younger generations :[ Also, vaccinaitons, illumirnutty, aliens and crap. But what haiti said is true, its not odd for people with things like autism to be highly interested in a little niche subject such as vehicle physics

according to event viewer, this is the unmoveable file

    "\System Volume Information\{b596a5a9-fe5e-11e4-bed6-7427ea1b51f0}{3808876b-c176-4e48-b7ae-04046e6cc752}::$DATA"

The world is currently an incredibly paranoid and neurotic place, everyone needs to be monitored and tracked all the time just in case. Personally i dont think that is a safe environment to grow up in. Im no expert but from personal experiences i expect mental health issues are going to be a really huge problem going into the future.

Please note that i am not saying that people with mental health issues are any part of the problem, they are just the unfortunate reporcussions/collatoral of a much wider issue.

My boyfriend's an evil genious at times. I swear. You may be aware of a folder plugin called Men Kamph, if you are you know what it does and what possible prank you can play on someone. Without my knowledge he installed it for me, as a firefox plugin. I completely didn't notice the plugin... but you may have wondered why I was asking why "kike" has become so popular a little while ago. Then abaroath releases a map

    LM55s0t.png

Is that socially acceptable now? and my confusion when I'm looking at the random encounters on the GTA V wiki.

wondering what on earth is going on in the world? Anyway, I figured it out after studying the wiki a bit more and finding that across the wiki every character's gender is Jewish or German. But I reckon someone else will get a kick out of this little anecdote.

At the Apple Store. Decided to test out a new MacBook, just to see what it's like. Where do I begin?

It bends, like really bad. Push on it anywhere and it folds like a fortune cookie. The new fancy keyboard has no feel to it. I can't tell if I'm pressing down keys about 75% of the time. It's too small. The touchpad has absolutely no feel to it, like, at all. It's really slow, doesn't have enough storage, and is WAY to expensive.

    4/10

Apple gets a solid C- for this.

Whatever model of macbook it is that my school bought is pretty nice. I think they're '12 Macbook pros, 13 inch display.
It's a really solid, well built computer all in all. I'd buy one if I came across a cheap one.

    What were you expecting?
It runs a dual core Broadwell CPU at 1.1GHz. Yes, one. That's how fast it is. Literally a third of a standard laptop i3. The CPU can actually boost all the way to 2.4, but with literally no cooling AT ALL, that's not going to happen. (Yes, the 2015 MacBook has literally no cooling other than the processor's own IHS.)
512GB storage should be good enough, but 256 on the base model is way too small. It's an M.2 SSD, so no upgrading beyond 512GB, for now at least. They should have added an extra M.2 slot, but they're Apple and don't want you to upgrade. While we're on upgrades, you can't swap the RAM. 8GB not enough? Too bad, you'll have to stick with that.
The keyboard, well of course it's gonna have no feel. I mean, the key travel in my Model M is longer than the thickness of a 2015 MacBook in its thinnest point. (It actually is, 4mm, MacBook is 3.6mm at its thinnest point and that's with the screen too.)
Same goes for the touchpad. When the laptop is somewhere about 5mm thick you can't afford even 1mm of pad button travel.
Bending, well, now that's something I wasn't expecting. They must have used thinner aluminium plating to make the laptop like half a millimetre slimmer.

Price, once again I don't know what you were expecting, it's apple.

You also forgot about the connectors. I mean, seriously Apple? A single USB Type C port? Sure, Type C is awesome. But it's also not compatible with 99.9% of USB drives around. And only one port? I can understand they want to make it look pretty, but a hub constantly sitting beside your laptop is definitely uglier than some USB ports on the side.

I think the new MacBook is good for one thing only: looking good. And that, I can't deny it does very well. It's one of the nicest looking devices I have seen. But it is absolutely terrible at everything else.

    - - - Updated - - -

Also, I don't hate MacBooks, the previous models and specially the MacBook Pro are fine laptops (as long as you install a proper OS). Just not my style at all.

But the new one, it is just rubbish. I can't possibly think why anyone would ever want to buy one.

There are hardware reasons for requiring boot camp. Simply put, they have no PC compatible BIOS, it goes further than that, but that's the biggest issue.
Wanted to snip this, on phone though so that's tough.

Single type c is pathetic. I think if they wanted to go minimal like that and require external hubs 24/7 they should have opted for the following 3 ports:
    • 3.5mm audio jack
    • power connector, should retain magjack.
    • thunderbolt
Then they could have simply included a 4 port USB 3.1 adapter running from thunderbolt (something thunderbolt can host) with the displayport daisy chain exposed as an HDMI port or something.
Native thunderbolt devices are rare. But a thunderbolt interface is more useful than a single USB port if they were to include the adapter in packaging.

Very least, separate power and USB.

I think a type c to type b adapter is included though isn't it?

Cant upgrade the storage. BIOS restricted. Some of the newer macbooks are even having issues with aftermarket data ssds. Apple went full hog with the new air.

Once you overcome price and non PC compatible BIOS (plus associated issues). I can't complain about how well a Mac is made usually. I'm not particularly a fan of the surface finish, but whatevs. Also apple don't do a *true* UK keyboard.

There's a customizable autocorrecting list in Microsoft Word, aiding the system that automatically fixes commonplace typos. Its potential for sabotage is obvious, but better done in regards to persons who have no understanding of the program or technology in general and are unaware of the feature, and using words that aren't typed very often. Even just subtle misspellings of common words (making 'afterwords' into 'afterwrods') could drive someone pedantic about grammar up a wall.

I can think of a few better ones. There was a well-documented prank an artist did on an Italian community, flooding a historic fountain and the surrounding plaza with ball pit balls. Hundreds of thousands of them. Then, you have the grand collection of Remi Gaillard. I owe my respect of the French to this guy. But those are pranks on the public.

The best personal, individually-directed prank I've ever heard of was when one of my middle school teachers royally pissed off a student, possibly screaming him out. In retaliation, this student employed a simple but extremely effective technique. He waited until the lunch room was serving something perishable and portable (a hotdog), and taped it under one of the teacher's chairs. No fewer than four months later was the source of a foul smell discovered.

Another good public prank is filling a fountain with soap/detergent. basically the same thing as the ball pit thing, but it smells much nicer
