Re: The Stig Competition (Open Till May 22nd) ooooh... XD :| - - - Updated - - - FYI the 22nd will still take admissions. - - - Updated - - - Here's mine. 1:30.87 | G27 | GoPro | And bad lighting.
Re: The Stig Competition (Open Till May 22nd) I know this competition is over, but for the future, we should find a way that proves no modifications were done. Like, force competitors to add one of the UI apps that show engine torque specs and the like, to prove it's stock. It would be hard to tell if some sneaky bastard added 10/15 ft-lb of torque. One thing we wouldn't be able to prove through a UI app, rather just eyeballing it, is suspension modifications. Idk, just a thought
Re: The Stig Competition (Open Till May 22nd) yeah I've been trying to figure out a way for that... PS today is the last day! you can still get in the top ten!
Re: The Stig Competition (Open Till May 22nd) Hey, thanks for the positive feedback... and yes that is true... to be honest I've never timed myself, but I'll do some rough draft runs and see where I'm at.
Re: The Stig Competition (Open Till May 22nd) Oh and one more thing... are we allowed to apply a brake torque launch?
Re: The Stig Competition (Open Till May 22nd) 1:32.06 with ps3 controller bad quality becose of my 0.4 Mbps upload speed and i dont want it to take hours to upload
Re: The Stig Competition (Open Till May 22nd) 01:29,700. Sound has somehow bugged so turn it off while watching. Driven with Logitech G27.
Re: The Stig Competition (Open Till May 22nd) Are we allowed to do this with manual transmission (this is the paddle version of the car, right?)? Is it possible to upload the video directly to the forum without having to go through YT?
Re: The Stig Competition (Open Till May 22nd) Mkay, recorded a quick run with arcade (manual next time ey? ). Just need a way to upload it. I'll check the wiki.
Re: The Stig Competition (Open Till May 22nd) Yeah I chose auto because in the old thread people were complaining about it being manual.
Re: The Stig Competition (Open Till May 22nd) I'll try uploading now soon. People need to start shiftin' themselves, this is not America. Murica! xD EDIT: Wtf.. Size of the video is 113 MB and it's taking forever. Says 21 minutes left, and it's at 29 % atm. My connection is a 40/40 Mbps fiber. Gawd. I will nok make it unless the deadline is extended. - - - Updated - - - In case it'll get accepted: 1:30:3 (stopwatch) I started from respawn point, see some does this differently. You mind telling us whether or not to start at spawn point? I suggest spawn point because you won't get variation.
Re: The Stig Competition (Open Till May 22nd) I see my submisison was accepted. Thanks. That still doesn't answer the question clearly. At spawn point (which is actually aprox. one 1 meter behind)? Or, do we line up ourselves so that the vehicle is just behind the line?
Re: The Stig Competition (Open Till May 22nd) Sorry fellas, gotta catch y'all at another race. Besides lack of time, automatic isn't my thing, plus AWD isn't my forte either. I did however change the tires in the front to the race ones, put it in manual, and boy was I a happy kid. For that first turn, engaging that oversteer, catching the weight at that perfect moment with full throttle in 5th, then downshifting to 4, 3, then 2 to finish it off and gain back my speed, it was just amazing. Personally I prefer the race tires in front and rally in the back for AWD with the manual, it gives the perfect amount of oversteer in AWD. But hey, that's just me. Who would want to see a video of that drift? Not to show off or anything. Just thought you'd like to see it for yourselves.
Re: The Stig Competition (Open Till May 22nd) Congrats to the winner BBQ! With an amazing time of 1:29.8 And to Calais with second place and a time of 1:30.13! And to StianAarskaug with Third place and a time of 1:30.73! Next Competition will start June 1st! Good luck.
