Guys, you really need to learn to read the thread. This editor has been unsupported by its author for over a year and left in a broken state. Masa's editor is in active development and works quite well for creating and editing .jbeam http://www.beamng.com/threads/6103-NodeBeam-Editor-v-0-35?p=210265#post210265
Re: Real-Time Vehicle Editor - NEWEST RELEASE HERE - Current: Alpha 11 how do I make it work im new at this
So this is never explained or addressed in the wiki, but I can not use this mod with the steam version of this game. I tried several times to verify the game path with no luck. I went to C/programfiles(x86)/steam/steamapps/common/beamng and it didnt work. I tried going to C/programfiles(x86)/steam/steamapps/common/beamng/vehicles and still nothing. I have the latest .net so either your mod is broken, or my computer is being a willy.
I made a few posts, on the page just before this, with some suggestions in those posts to get it working. I think that the editor hasn't be updated to work with BeamNG's current file system.
Guys just stop messing around with this already! It's broken! Deal with it! If you want to use one of these just use Masa's editor, it is being constantly updated and it actually is compatible with the current version of the game. So don't complain about something not working if it hasn't been compatible for a year.
Try changing the path in the config.dat file that is located in "C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Local\DriveBeamEditor" I not trying to ignore you clayton8or, but the editor can still be used, even though it's not compatible with the current BeamNG.drive file system. It just takes some work-arounds to get it to function.
For those having issues where they cant change the game file location, and have the steam version of the game. I have edited the config file so it works correctly. All you have to do is extract the file, and paste the .config file into the editor folder and overwrite the old file with the new one.
i can make to work "could not find part of the path 'E:\vehicles'." mayby some way to set a sorce folder just dont know how thow help?
I'm having trouble getting this to work. I've placed it on my desktop and ran it as admin and It's giving me this error. https://gyazo.com/8f3f7d1d443ccdc9b547878a66232714 I go into preferences and change the game directory but it doesn't seem to work. Any suggestions? Or maybe the date of fix?
