Hi. I noticed that the game from the beginning of its sale (in 2013 iirc) had a decent price of 10€. Now when I look at the price, I notice that it had a insane price increase of nearly 125%. Not even one game did this much of a increase in a single phase (Minecraft had 3 phases, so you cannot say it's like it.), so I don't find any logical ideas why did you do that and its still in pretty much alpha.
there has been a lot of work done to the game plus they have to pay the licences and tax plus the celery of the main people
Scratch made vehicles that take months of creation and lots more time to tune, more maps have come that required a ton of scratch made models, etc. to be made. Scenarios have come along, as well as many other features that took several hours of work. Can't just slap a 10 euros price on a game that's been worked on for over 2 years now, with a growing and paid dev team. It's totally worth the price!
Dunno, paid around 17€ 5 months ago and since then the amount of content and playability increased with every month. The price tag is still fair in my opinion. You really can't compare Beam.ng with one of the most sold games in history. Minecraft sold >50 million copies.
Black Mesa used to be free, now it's £14.99. That's a markup of what...? ∞ Infinity? ∞ BeamNG.Drive's still cheaper than a lot of early access shit.
Ehm....the services of B25Mitch and Goosah alone make the $25 price tag worth it. Let's see here, brand new offices and furnishings, a new financial/business guy, and tons of peripherals for testing and god knows what else to help with specific complaints...on and on.... Insane price mark up? Math and reality comprehension used to be basic human functions.
The game went up from 10-15 USD (honestly can't remember, since it has been almost 2 years since I bought in) to 25 USD, oh no, the sky is falling, our wallets will never survive. In all honesty, though, would you really suggest that the game in its current state isn't worth 25 US dollars (or your regional equivalent)? I would be more than happy to rebuy it at the current price, on top of what I previously paid, given the amount and quality of the content on offer.
i would pay 60 for this just like I spent 60 on GTA5, its all about the quality of work and "you get what you pay for"...in this case, you SHOULD be getting something shitty and horrible like NCG or something lol. Im in it for the long haul, I will always support the devs and if they bump the price from 25 to 35 or 40, id be buying it for a friend just to support them 2x. besides, a markup of 125% on something that costs $1 is only turning into $2.25, so it's not like going from 15 -> 25 dollars is so huge. Percentages are not the same as ratio. it is still a steal at 25 bucks.
For the amount of work the devs put into this game $25 is well worth it not to mention you will not have to pay again when the game is finished.
The fact I paid 60€ for GTA V for PC (After 2 years it has been out for console, getting most of stuff spoiled, with the unbearable GTAO loading times) is insane
For me it's still better than having to buy a console. And the modability and graphics alone make the 60€ worth it for me. And about BeamNG having icreased in price, I think that it's totally worth it. I got the ngame about 3 months ago for 18€, and in those 3 months so much content has been added, that I'd even pay 30€ for the game.
IMO the physics engine alone is worth at least $100 (IDK the conversion rate...). And the rest of the game is worth another $40.
Assuming the price was set in dollars, 30% of the price change is because of the crap exchange rates we've got atm... Also the amount of content and the realism has greatly improved over time. When the game was first "released" there was no Moonhawk, no Sunburst, no 200BX, no T-series, no Pigeon, no Roamer, no East Cost USA, no Hirochi Raceway and no Jungle Rock Island. Also the tire model and physics have been improved a lot and there are scenarios now. And then I haven't even mentioned the improvements to the content originally in the game like the Bolide's extra engine options and the new high quality Gavril V8s (oh wait now I have). TL;DR The increase in price is partly because of the exchange rates also completely justified IMO.
Yes. Also, if for any reason beamNG opens another store (like for example DLC) they charge 30% off that too, even if the store is hosted by beamng. Case in point is elite dangerous. 30% of the steam keys and also 30% of all paintjobs bought from the people that make the game, hosted on store.elitedangerous.com. It makes me mad.
