From up on poppy hill. Princess Mononoke. Spirited Away. Howls moving castle. All I've seen from ghibli. Howls moving castle was years ago too, don't remember much. Mononoke and spirited away I can even watch dubbed, I never watch dubbed Japanese stuff, sub's all the way. But spirited away and mononoke were decent dubs. Poppy hill was broadcast on telly subbed, had a then 2 or 3 year old child who couldn't read mesmerised.
*cough*thatswhatwedidlastyear*cough*stopstealingourideas*cough* Lol, jk. Really like that song. It's getting me excited for August. Marching Bass Clarinet this year, coupled with a James Bond theme and a trip to Los Angeles, I'm excite. - - - Updated - - - In other news, I moved the Documents folder onto my scratch drive. It disappeared. 10/10 would move the Documents folder again. I'm also gonna install Windows XP 64-bit on my 160 gig storage drive. I have some coding that needs done and Visual Studio wants to install half of itself onto my SSD, which isn't gonna work.
On my laptop I run visual studio from SSD. Its startup time is quite long and I had the space for it.
I have a 32 gig SSD. It wants to install 4 gig worth the data there and I can only clear it to 2.5 gig before I have to start getting rid of drivers.
Oh, should probably mention, dont think windows SDK supports running on XP anyway. Think its win 7 and up only now. 2015 I think is 8 and up. The wonders of a 128gb SSD. (imported from here)
My school has two bands, both of which are fairly small. We dont do any competitions since they are run by our "rival school" and they win every year...
Um. A band isn't allowed to compete in a competition they host. Also, there are competitions around the U.S. if you travel 30-45 minutes to get there. What do you mean by fairly small?
Around 15 people (estimate, i haven't counted since i am a technician) in the big band with some instruments duplicated and others missing. There is another band which is smaller still but i cant remember the style and then there is also the choir. A few people are in both of the bands etc. They will be doing a gig in Disney land Paris some time soon. Im not going with them since its not cheap and my job would likely be carrying things on and off stage etc .If it was free and nearby i would go for the experience i would gain.

I should probably expand as well. What i said was a bit of a simplification. They host an event at their own school, but then attend an event that is half way across the country. The head music teacher at that school knows people at the venue they compete at hence why they travel all that way. So they always win at that venue. Then of course they progress to the next stage and so on. Our school would not be voted upon fairly if we went to their schools venue or the venue that they compete at. So in short our school doesn't bother to compete because its based on who the head of department knows, not who actually has the best band. Not to say our school has the best band of course but you know what i mean.
Oh, right. I went full 'murika and assumed he was American. To be fair I've never heard of a marching band outside of the US. Now I see he's not talking about marching band either. Wow. That is quite small. Sucks that the other school doesn't make a fair competition though.
The band is getting bigger though. The music department was entirely re-staffed and regenerated about 4 years ago. Since many schools in my area are now academies a lot of them no longer have music departments so teachers at our school teach at some other schools as well (at a price ofc). They also go out to primary schools and teach there as well. There used to be a music service in our county area but that went to crap and then our school has taken its place and now offers music lessons directly and manages that all itself. So the number of musicians in the school has been going up and up since the department was redone. They are also the reason why i took music technology and now have music production as one of my hobbies. All of the new computers for next year have also arrived. They used to have i3's with 4gb of ram (which are being moved to create a new computer room). The new computers are I5's with 8gb of ram and 1080p 24" screens. There is also a rack mounted beast pc with noctua cooling etc. They got a £30,000 grant which is why they now have pretty good facilities. But i have officially left the school now since i only have to turn up for exams from now on. So they do a pretty good job and keep expanding. The staff are also pretty awesome.
