    First, hi all.. as im new here..
    and iv been playing for a lil while now and saw something that im not sure if all good,
    one i just upgraded my pc a week ago to i5 2500k (stock), asrock extreme 4 gen 3 mobo, 8gb gskill ram and two new gtx 770s running in sli

    but i noticed im only getting like 60fps max (and yes i do realize its a alpha so im not complaining :D )
    and some times when i use handbrake i get what looks like sand popping up under the cars back wheels?? no idea!

    also in auto-detect it always selects low..so if anyone has had these issues or knows anything that can help to do with ingame settings or even nvidia control panel please let me know.
    thanx .

    First of all, sorry to brag but I am running on a 660GTX and I am getting nearly 2000fps. Make sure on your computer you right click on the beamng icon and select "Run with Graphics Processor". The default would be Intergrated Graphics. Select your Nvidia and you should be fine. Hope this help :)

    Go into your NVIDIA Control Panel (In the tray at the bottom right) and see if you have any effects enabled (Like Anti Aliasing etc) These cause huge slowdowns even on a 1GB card for me.

    As well, windowed mode on a 1024x768 resolution seems to help greatly, and some people say turning off shadows also help.

    Also the DirectX 9 thing is totally normal :)

    You don't have 2000 fps. And with that sli of 770s you should be getting 100+ fps always with max settings. I get 80+ fps with everything maxed out on a single HD 7950.

    I think your cpu might bottlenecking your system. BeamNG is very cpu intensive.

    You have two very fast GTX 770s, the problem is your CPU isn't able to keep up with your GTX 770s. I would recommend upgrading your CPU to a more recent i5 or a i7. That's the only fix I know for bottlenecking :( If your going to buy a very fast graphics card you also have to buy a very fast CPU. Also wouldn't it have been better buying one GTX 780 instead of two GTX 770s?

    One component can't keep up with the rest, creating a "bottleneck." Example: Fill a bottle (your PC) with liquid (data). Then tip it upside down and pour it out into a bucket (your GPUs). The water could come out a lot faster if the neck of the bottle (what hairyman seems to think is your CPU) was wider (a better CPU) thus feeding it faster faster into the bucket. Make sense? However, any component can cause a bottleneck.
    -------------------------EDIT----------------------------
    Like below said, try overclocking (google it, be careful not to destroy your chip) as the 2500k is by no means a bad chip. It's actually pretty good. Not the best, but on par with some of the entry level i7s.
    @BELOW
    David, as the OP said he isn't very good with computers and you have the same chip he has, maybe you could help him out a bit? As you already know the limits of the chip? (I know this varies by build, but I'm sure you have a general idea?)

    I have a 2500k too and I get an excellent performance. Yeah he has a bottleneck, but nothing serious to worry about, he should be able to play without a problem. And there's no need to upgrade, just overclock and you'll get the performance of the newest CPUs.
