    Hey,

since the last update update I noticed something strange.
The higher you set a transmission's clutch torque, the higher the "motor brake" seems to be.
In addition, weird things start to happen when you set it above a certain point (for example 2000 Nm).
Just have a look at this video which shows a stock race Sunburst with a clutch torque increased transmission (otherwise stock):

As you can see, as soon as I engage the first gear, the weels start to rock around violently and driving becomes rather impossible due to the incredible topspeed of about 18 Km/h in the first gear...

To reproduce this, it should be enough to set the clutch torque of the race dct to about 2000 Nm.

Estama here: I'm sorry, i've edited your post by mistake :( ... Reply is in the next post.

Due to the enormous forces that pass through the drivetrain, it can develop instabilities even when simulated at 2khz.

Clutch torque essentially acts like a spring to smooth out the force transients that pass through the drivetrain.

Nevertheless, the problem might be with the DCT and not with the drivetrain. Does the same problem happen with the automatic or manual drivetrains?

Yes, this seems to happen no matter what I do to the transmission, manual, auto, DCT etc...

If you want to make a high hp car, make sure the clutch torque is not any higher than it has to be, make the gears and/or differential ratios taller, and use an auto trans if acceptable to you. These will all help reduce the instability.

Can you explain why making the differential ratios bigger helps in this case?
