I was not expecting a trailer. I honestly thought this was gonna be a big troll...
Wow... I am blown away. The goosebumps and tears of joy are real. And the nostalgic feeling I got while watching the trailer. I can't wait till this comes out. HYPE!

    dang

first steam actually starts improving part of their support (steam refunds) and now fallout 4?

now all we need is hl3, portal 3 (i'd imagine it'd be a prequel or something), and l4d3 and were all set

Super excited. Fallout 3 is my favorite game, extremely looking forward to 4. I've lost count of how many times ive watched the trailer already, trying to see every little thing I can. Many people are complaining about the graphics in the trailer, but I'm not concerned with that, it's not the finished product. Even if that would be the final product I wouldn't mind anyway, looks good enough to me honestly. I'm just interested to see gameplay now, as long as they haven't dumbed anything down (I don't want them taking out weapon and armor degradation like they did in Skyrim) and it plays good, I'm happy. I have confidence in Bethesda's story crafting so no worries there for me. So yea, as long as it feels right, the world is huge and packed with things to see, the story is right, and it's not BUGGY AS CRAP, it could very well end up being my new favorite game. I'd love to see more of what was in 3/New Vegas, just improved and expanded on and less clunky. I'd really like hardcore mode included, as well as iron sights (like NV had, not the zoom effect that 3 had) and a very expanded crafting list. I don't care if there are drivable vehicles like some people would like, I'd rather hoof it on foot. Eh I could spend all day on my wants/ don't wants, but I'll settle with this for now. Looking forward to E3 and hopefully some details and maybe a release date.
Also not sure how I feel about your character possibly being voiced, we'll see if it turns out true or not, could just be a line thrown in for the trailer.

Yeah, I prefer 3, but I'm going to admit that NV is better in a lot of ways. I really hope 4 doesn't get rid of a lot of NV's great features. Hardcore Mode, Factions, Reloading/Crafting benches, Survival skill/campfire, Iron sights, million times better perks.
Degradation will stay (well it fucking better). As repair is an actual skill I doubt it would go. I hope we have Obsidian's iteration of the repair skill over Bethesda's.

Honestly the graphics look absolutely fine to me, I'm happy with how they look in the trailer. Might mean consoles will actually play at a good framerate, not like I care anyway.

I do have worries about the great features from NV (Like I mentioned) not getting carried over, as Bethesda didn't actually make them. I don't doubt they have access to them, but I just hope that they choose to use them. Different game devs, producers etc. I don't want food doing shit all like in Fo3 and Skyrim.

Don't know any of the Fallout series, however food helps in Skyrim. I collect loads and purchase tons whenever in towns. Makes for at least one full bar of health when random battles arise.

Food did heal in Fo3, but it felt so weak. Each piece of food usually healed 5, and weighed 1. Stimpaks on the other hand heal 65+ and weigh nothing at all. Food also usually gave you rads too.

In NV, some food healed ridiculously well, even better than meds. While I'll admit this is stupid as food doesn't heal wounds, it did make it more useful. Hardcore was what I loved though, eating food because you were hungry. I tend to like slightly more realistic aspects, like the idea of it being a struggle to even survive in some situations. NV's food and drink think was a little naggy though.

If you had one paragraph to set a person like me up for Fallout4, I have never played any Fallout ever, but I am interested by it, I am a Bethesda owned soul, what would you leave for me to read up? Educate me dude/ for the win. Gameplay, story, graphics, online, anything.?

Hvae you played either oblivion, morrowind or skyrim. Because its like that, but in a retro futuristic post apocalyptic wasteland and with guns.

Or in other words. Imagine america back in the 50s. Then imagine they had much better technology but everything is still 50's styled. Then nukes drop and obliterate the place. Go ahead a few decades. Bam, setting for elder scrolls with guns.

Yes I see that, however (however) your post is still more about Elder Scrolls than Fallout. I am more interested in the Fallout that is not as seen on t.v. Thank you, though, very much. Braindead, or other, if you've it in you to describe what Fallout's gameplay, story, graphics options, online, anything Fallout, please do (in one paragraph or not). I think I understand that it is based on the same engine as Elder Scrolls, it is ID, it is Bethesda, it is the same game to some.
