AIDA 64 during a stress test (for other stability issues). ...Does the ignore still apply? UPDATE: Threw my voltmeter on it. 12.2 volts seems fine. I wish that software readouts were more accurate than they are.
My 10+ year old 80gb HDD has finally failed. Taking the boot manager with it. Was about time for a windows reinstall anyway.
Do these all work together? (imported from here) Thanks. Note: No overclocking intended, no advanced computing, no rendering, just gaming. My friend is upgrading from a Mac.
6677 has a question for once. Yes you read that right. Ideally now would be the best time for me to get an SSD considering I'm reinstalling windows, but I can't afford to. I do however had a 250gb hdd. Now JM thinking setup an SSD style install on HDD and then migrate it to SSD later. Has anyone actually used those disk cloning tools, would they let me do this? Otherwise I'll just install on the 750gb main drive I have and setup windows all over again when I can afford SSD.
Found out that the 980TI is to big. Is there a version of it that has the same form factor as the 750? If not, then I'll ditch the plan of getting a new GPU and go for either a G27 or a mic setup with all of the fancy electronics.
If there is not a short enough version released you always have the option of modifying your case to fit the card using hand or power tools. I actually recommend this for the entertainment level. No here, however I have read about them. Samsung Clone gets good Newegg reviews. ACHI mode Windows install will be your problem cloning from HDD to SDD. Your SDD will want "Indicates whether or not the selected SSD is connected to a compatible controller with AHCI enabled." AHCI for improved operation and performance. Never defrag an SSD. The more writing an SSD undergoes, the less time alive it has. (my two cents) Bluescreen, Bluescreen, this is why Bluescreen is important. I see they all work together however look overpriced in what you will receive to me, (note that I run AMD), at the least if you are only gaming, and gaming only, upgrade your ram to PC 1866, it is the fastest games can handle today, and a relatively cheap comparison. - G (9:14 a.m. - 5 gmt)
I would have to cut through the PSU to get it to fit. I don't thing that there's a safe way to do that.
Not really. Is it a microATX case? If so, yeah, alot of those have issues with GPU length. Mine will take full length and thats a rarity.
I don't know what form factor it is, but it could be microATX. The 750 has about 5mm of space left before it hits the case.
Windows physically wont defrag an SSD, seek times dont apply to it anyway. As for writing, HDD's actually have a lower write limit than SSDs contrary to popular belief. Although some of the fancy TLC flashes on the way have lesser lifetimes than alternatives. - - - Updated - - - Almost definitely microATX if a 750 barely fits. If you dont want to get a new case or mod existing, look up mini ITX GPUs. They technically arent any different, but mini ITX form factor cases typically have a strict GPU length limit and often GPU width too. As such some manufacturers now sell mini ITX oriented versions of their cards that try not to be any longer than they physically need to be (ie, rather short) and not be any wider than the rear I/O shield. Although I think these tend to only go upto GTX960 and you dont see many AMD ones. Might be better off with bigger case. A mate has just had to go to mini ITX cards after buying a microATX case that advertises upto 330mm long GPUs yet doesnt actually state anywhere before you get it that it will only accomate a 13cm wide GPU, his GTX660 is 14.5cm wide. Managed to order a 960 stated at 12.1. He was kinda annoyed that my GPU was a 460, because mine fits (we tried it in there) and his GPU fits mine, if they were both the same NVidia chipset we could have just traded.
I've found a 970 mini itx. I know about the problems it has with vram and such, but would it still be worth getting?
I've heard somewhere on the forums BeamNG Doesn't like the 900 Line from Nvidia, could be wrong though, if you have other games you love playing it probably is worth it!
*cough GTA V cough* Honestly, as long as it doesn't perform worse in BeamNG as my 750, wich I doubt it will, then I wont care too much about that.
They work "alright" but it won't get performance much higher than even my GPU. But it's still one of the better performers overall.
And 4 times the VRAM, so maxing out shoudln't be a problem. Also, since I'll have 200-ish € left, I'll get a microfone aswell. I doin't think that anybody really wants to hear my voice, but I mioght aswell give it a try, it's "only" 100€. Or should I go with the G27/25? I'll need sometime to think about it. Then again, I get money in October and in December. In October is my Birthday, and in December is, well, Christmas. Also, for those that wanna make me a birthday gift (no one) my birth day is on the 17th.
If you are young enough birthdays still matter to you, go for the G27 wheel. I know this concept maybe odd, and you should objectively look at my words as I am old, however, graphics you are happy with now will not outweigh a steering wheel in the future. You will learn more about your skills steering than from violence. I know this all too late. Get yourself a wheel first, so many driving games are coming in the future.
Unless its a studio type mic, 100 euros is way too much. Can have one for 10-20 easily. No-one can decide for you.
Hey, SuperNoob, grab a pack of these, sound quite good for what they are. http://www.amazon.de/Neewer®-Freisp...1434383543&sr=8-1&keywords=neewer+mikrofon+3x and yes, i got through german amazon, easy enough.
I sorta want a "real" microfone though. With real I mean one of these microfones that you can actually hold in your hand our put in a tripot, or whatever it's called for microfones. I've already found two. One of them is the Røde something, a studio mit that i'd need to get a mic AMP and all of that for, about 250€. Then there's also another one for 80€ that I don't need anything else for.
