The feeling of all the subreddits going dark is essentially like being in an office building, where the majority of the workers have left, and there's only a skeleton crew left to run things, that empty feeling. I was reading up on one of the subreddits, and a mod said that this blackout won't probably last after tomorrow morning, as to not "ruin" the admin's holiday weekend, guess we'll have to see tomorrow, however I'm not entirely sure if this pertains to all of reddit, or just that certain subreddit. My frustrations is when I'm reading something, then go back to the main thread to read something else, only to realize that thread has gone dark while I was reading.
Just got that mod about 4 days ago. Started playing it. Then, I got somewhat stuck on the first test chamber. (fail... but it doesn't start simple like the portal games...) Then I decided to play drive instead. Don't kill your ears! Never listen to very loud things with headphones especially... Seriously... Don't do it. Take care of your hearing.
I've been absent for awhile, I need to come back here more often. Haven't even logged into RoR since they made Jeepster a dev, I might do that.
<somewhat advertising> Just updated my sig to include better specs and my website, feel free to check it out (starting a business). </somewhat advertising>
I'm downloading iTunes simply because I have $30 in gift cards that no one will buy from me. I feel like I'm hurting my PC by putting Apple software on it.
I've never had anything good come out of iTunes... I have not installed it on my newer PC. For the whole year I've had it I've done a good job keeping malware off. Never had a problem. I had about $200 of Beatles CD's lying around (I didn't pay for them) so I put them all in Windows Media Player. Does anyone know of any music library program/etc. besides Windows Media Player and iTunes and is actually good? I don't like either of them. Windows Media Player is meh. iTunes... Just no.
I see. Otherwise. I was making something in Blender. I wanted a small pipe to go through it. So I made the pipe and put it through. But then I needed to delete the mesh in the pipe as the pipe was blocked by it. I tried deleting around the pipe the best I could, then thought I could move the vertices around to make this round hole in the mesh. It didn't work. Now I'm stuck with this: (that is where there will be a short pipe-thing going through the object. Also, if you can tell that I'm doing something wrong or ineffciently with the rest of the model just by looking at the image, feel free to tell me. I am a beginner to Blender.) I can't undo it with ctrl+z. Tried filling it in again by pressing 'f', but it just made some awkward clipping mesh. Also, apparently I never actually saved the file and it doesn't look like I can recover a previous one. (This one was recovered) Anyone know how to recover my old mesh/fix/refill this one and how to properly comeplete this task?
If you haven't already learned, Blender automatically saves a backup of the last save in the form of a '.blend1' file, as opposed to the normal '.blend' file. If not that, then I think you may have to fill it back in. One way may just be rebuilding it. It seems like you've got just a standard pipe, and so long as there aren't any unusual specifications, it should be pretty simple to rebuild. I also can't help but notice the erratically spaced edge loops. Are you curving the pipe by eye? If so, there are a few alternatives you should know about to make your life much easier. Lastly, if you want to put a hole in one mesh in the shape of another, look into the Boolean modifier. It can be a godsend.
I may purchase the instrument cluster for some sort of vehicle, along with an arduino CAN shield. Some of the VAG units are reasonably well documented and arduino source code for the mazda RX8 cluster is out there too. Funkiest thermometer or clock a car guy could hope for?
...ha ha ha, VAG lol what is all that about, you can use the cluster as a cluster for the computer, for games and such?
