Presently trying to save up toward visiting a friend across the pond, so every penny is precious. Keeping myself sane with the odd indulgence, though, and wondering whether to make this one of them. I just wanted to ask the community for a few of their favourite things about Drive, either present features or features they believe will realistically make it into the alpha build in the relatively near future.

I'm not asking to be persuaded, but I'd love to hear a little from those who have the alpha - or have hopes for future versions - about what persuaded them, and why they might think I should purchase Drive.

    Any thoughtful input appreciated =)

Although I don't own BeamNG on this account(I will soon), I play on my brothers account.

But first I'd like to say that is awesome and you'll love it! So I'd grab it while it's cheap.
I've played for hours on end, crashing cars together, seeing how long I can survive, and playing around in the map editor.

Also, the upcoming features! Derby! POLICE CHASES! it will be awesome. In the map editor there are visible "Race nodes", like starting points. So my guess is that there will be races with checkpoints and whatnot.

It'll be worth it trust me, if your PC can handle it that is! :D

Well, you could see if the Tech Demo is entertaining enough for you. (It's free, you can get it at the techdemo tab at the top of the site) You should get the demo anyway to see how well your computer can handle it because it is a pretty power-hungry game. (The difference between the demo and full version is that the demo only has one car (Gavril D15 pickup truck) and one map)

Imagine an 11 year old girl meeting Justin Beiber in person. Imagine every second of excitement she feels, how her heart feels like pounding out of her chest. Imagine her crying tears of joy, realizing that all of her dreams have suddenly come true. That's how downloading the alpha was for me, except significantly more masculine and respectable. The BeamNG Drive alpha is honestly one of the most entertaining games I've played in my decade of gaming. Everything about it is awesome, and it's still in its early stages. The damage is unbelievable, the environments are beautiful, the vehicles are detailed, and the community is strong (so far). In addition to the great updates the devs have planned, we have an intelligent community capable of adding more epic content to the game. Also, remember that the $15 price tag might increase as development progresses. I strongly recommend buying the full version. It's worth every penny, even if you don't have much to spend.

Yes like people said above try the tech demo to see how your computer will react to it and also see how you like it . This simulator is GPU and CPU hungry also you will not regret buying Beam NG drive it's a all around great simulator for the PC.
Beam NG Drive is in it's alpha state so feature's may or may not be added in the future the possibilities are endless. Like stated above grab it while its cheap because when more feature's are added or when the simulator has it's full release you never know the price might go up from $15 to $30 you'll never know hope this helps.

It is worth every penny and more. If you have played RoR you know what you are getting yourself into. Amazing game, amazing community, amazing mods. Yes, you should buy it.

Even at its current state the price is totally justified.

Again, just try the tech demo if you haven't already. If you have and your computer can run it well, then GET IT NAOW.

The only thing to consider is how it runs on your PC, the rest was sold for me from the video I saw.
