will different cars have different physics like they do in real life? for eg, cars like lotus which are made for handling will handle better then other cars like the pick ups, muscle cars etc? also wondering about weather effects, rain? snow?
i have the full game and each vehicle has its own characteristics handling acceleration speed weight etc. i dont think there are any weather conditions....yet.
Like stated above each vehicle in the Beam NG Drive Alpha has their own characteristics weight, power etc hope this helps.
what i mean is, the way they handle in real world will be implemented in the game or just random handling?
There are no 'real' cars in the game, at least not at this point in time, as that requires licensing and many other hassles that a small team cannot afford, so all of the vehicles thus far, are merely based on real cars. Anyway, through my driving of all the vehicles so far in the Alpha, they all feel very different, the vehicles are all modeled and assembled VERY in detail, every component has a weight to it, suspensions have different aspects of them, more or less 'bounce' and so forth. You can completely edit these in the game by opening the car-parts menu and dynamically swap out or rip out any piece of the car you want. Sure, the car wont WORK if you pull the engine out, but it's a hell of a lot lighter now ^_^ In conclusion, every car handles very different to one another and I forsee that continuing in the future with the amount of detail the cars have in their construction. (Personally, I rather enjoy taking the Gavril-H (Van) stripping it down to nothing but an Engine, Transmission, Chassis, and Suspension, and then HAULING ASS into walls and watching the frame buckle beautifully. Hope this helped!
