It's a veiw of the inside of the headlight by showing the model without mirroring. basically the opposite of what you'll see when the headlight has transparently. Also new headlight concept. (imported from here)
Cool, I like the new headlights. They look very aggressive - - - Updated - - - This version will have the rear-mounted wing right? Or is this the one with the regular wing?
I am working from front to back on the Class A version of the car so the spoiler is the final thing. -----------------------Feedback-----------------------Now that the front of the car looks totally different from the car, should I just model a whole new body?
I think the bolide is a good base, but it is your choice. The countach qvx had almost nothing in common with the stock contact except for the tail lights, but I think the roof-line of the bolide is a good base for the group c version.
This may sound extreme but the front needs to be a space frame, it is more like what they used, rather than the current set up. (which seems more like a miura).
This is a porsche 962 space frame replica for a group c reference. It's hard to find pictures of them though.
This isn't as useful as you might imagine, since the bolide doesn't have a rounded cockpit, and I have very little info on what a group C cockpit looks like inside/out.
It's more for the structure underneath the front bodywork, because the cockpit from the bolide would probably be unchanged. If you wanted info on the cockpit, here are some good pictures from a Lancia group c car, a porsche 962, and a Mazda 787B - - - Updated - - - It doesn't really matter that much though, I'm sure some group c cars used different structures. The Mazda 787B used a kevlar and carbon composite monocoque. It would just be a lot more work to change something that big
I won't be able to work on the racecar tomorrow as I have other plans, however due to the vehicle being European [assuming Bolide] should I make the speedo that I will obviously have to replace a Km/h or MPH speedo? I'm pretty good at working with these sort of things. but It will have to remain analog.
Km/h would be more realistic, but if you are more comfortable with MPH you can use that too, and remember that on a race car, the speedo is not the primary gauge on the dash, the rev counter should be front and center.
Will do [I am Canadian so I've grown up with Km/h but have got an idea of reference points in MPH to help me understand it in speed benchmarks]
Some minor work on the spoiler. Needs Jbeam (imported from here) (imported from here) (imported from here) - - - Updated - - - (imported from here) - - - Updated - - - Fixed Reflections on inside fin. (imported from here)
